Synopsis
“Okay, Yurame. New world, new body, new life. Rule one: survive. Rule two: ignore the wolf, the raven, and...why is the lynx smiling like that?” ~~ Yurame lived an ordinary life on Earth as an orphan, working part-time at a supermarket and surviving on manga, K-dramas, and instant ramen. When she dies, she wakes up as the villainess of her favorite novel. A sadistic fox-beast woman infamous for trying to break apart the story’s female lead and her destined male leads. A character fated to die brutally at their hands. Determined not to repeat the novel’s ending, Yurame decides on one simple plan: survive quietly, avoid the main cast, and disappear to live long enough. Unfortunately, a survival System activates, rewriting the plot and flagging the very male leads who are supposed to kill her as “compatible targets.” Quests begin appearing at the worst moments, deadlines included. Fail to comply, and death comes within forty-eight hours. But the overall long-term quest that forces her to become an adventurer is to find the Genesis Spire. Forced into beast hunts, territorial negotiations, and increasingly ridiculous “relationship maintenance” quests, Yurame relies on sarcasm, modern-world logic, and sheer exhaustion to stay alive. The more she tries to stay invisible, the more attention she attracts from people who were never meant to look at the villainess twice. What was supposed to be a quiet escape turns into a chaotic fight for survival and control, as Yurame realizes the story is no longer following its original script. Because this time, the system is hellbent on her becoming the female lead. And the male leads? They don’t seem interested in killing her anymore.

Chapter 1 - This is not how I planned to wake up

[Ding! Ding! Ding!]

'Urghh… What was that sound in my head?' Yurame thought and squeezed my eyes tighter.

[Villainess Survival System Activated. Agree to bind?]

'Yeah, sure, whatever.' She thought and there was another Ding! sound.

[Host Confirmed: Yurame.]

[Canon Death Probability: 98%.]

…what? It's probably a dream. This is a dream, right? Yurame slowly opened her eyes gently to find herself straddling the waist of an unfamiliar man and ready to remove his underpants. His hands were bound to ropes on the bed, and his arm muscles bulged, cutting into his skin.

Where the hell is she?

"I swear…" His growl startled her. "I'll kill you! If you do this, I'll kill you, Yurame!"

"Um…" Yurame was dumbfounded. That was her name and the man was beautiful, which was more than she could ever have hoped for. She's been single my whole life. Ah, yes.

That's why she's dreaming about them. Except she doesn't think she should even be dreaming.

Long black hair spread over his pale skin, somewhat scaly? His physique was simply perfect; narrow waist, long legs and broad shoulders. He had sharp golden eyes that captivated the soul and an expression cold enough to freeze water.

"After all you've done," the man seethed. "I'll never forgive you if you do this. Slap me, beat me and punish me all you want but I'll kill you one day."

Yurame slowly climbed off him, pretty sure her face was pale. "What are you talking about? What is even going on?..."

The man's eyes flared with rage, and he started struggling fiercely with the ropes. She moved to help him, "Wait, you'll hurt yourself…ahh"

She hissed when he suddenly broke free, and pushed her off the bed. "You're demented! Crazy!"

Yurame tilted her head, and got up abruptly. "Who do you think you are? Huhn? Just becuase you're handsome and hot doesn't give you the right to treat me like garbage!"

He just scoffed and left the room, leaving Yurame alone to figure out what was going on. She looked down, and her mind went blank.

Herr hands…weren't her hands. They were red, furred and clawed. She touched her head, and her eyes widened. Ears. Not human ones. Fox ears. She looked behind and gasped in horror when she found a thick, heavy, red tail sticking out of her behind!

"What the hell?" Her voice shook. "What the fuck is going on?"

Before she could fully explode in rage, the memories arrived all at once. Her head ached and her temples throbbed, as it came to her. Strange, and unfamiliar images flashed in her head…faces and places she's never seen before.

Those weren't her memories. It's from her favourite novel 'Love me the way I am.' Mirei Raizen is the daughter of the Bear King, Raizen. She's a young, beautiful lady who was blessed by the Seven Gods when she was born. But she'd always lived in fear because when she was young, she was kidnapped and raped by some evil men. By the time her father had found her, she was already broken. She hid in her room for days until she caught the eye of Kaito Fenmaru, the handsome wolf commander.

He loved her and treated her right. And he helped her start out on her adventures were she met Itsuki, the cunning raven, who also loved her for her kindness and gentleness. Then she met Akuma, a young and innocent lizard-beast, the slave of the villainess. She helped him escape and he gave her his heart. Lastly, she met Seiji, a dark Fae during a festival in her village. He also fell in love with her. That is why the book was titled that. They all loved her unconditionally.

But in this story, Yurame Suifr, at least they shared the same name, played the role of the fox-beast villainess! The cruel, sadistic villainess. Famous for being the most hated character in the book. She's an illegitimate daughter but her father didn't care and spoiled her rotten. He was the former tribe leader before her, and because of that, she thought she could do whatever she wanted. She hated the female lead for taking Akuma away from her, and loved Kaito too. She constantly schemed to get rid of Mirei, and seduce the other male leads. When that didn't work, she became so evil to them.

In the original novel, she'd broken Itsuki wings and pushed him off a tree. She was so cruel to Akuma, that one day, she tossed him in a wild boar's cage. She hated Kaito for always ignoring her that she placed pieces of bones in his food causing him to almost choke and die. And, Seiji—oh poor Seiji—she stole his protection ring and left under the sun to burn until Mirei saw him.

She was also so blinded by jealousy, she was willing to do anything to kill Mirei but her plans were always thwarted to make way for the female lead's happy life.

Typical Villain.

Oh, and a little extra? In the end, she's to be brutally killed by the male leads for constantly tormenting the heroine.

Yurame groaned painfully. 'In this life and the last, why am I always stuck with such terrible fates?'

She looked around the beautifully decorated room and groaned again. Why did she have to transmigrated at that exact moment, huhn? The exact scene where the villainess tries to force herself on her captured slave.

Right, Akuma. One of the male leads.

"Damn…" She spat out, and folded her arms. What does she do now? A blue screen suddenly appeared in front of her face.

[Canon Event Detected.]

[Primary Objective: Avoid Premature Death.]

What the hell was this thing anyway?

[Failure to comply with quests will result in termination within 48 hours.]

The voice was in her head. And it was annoying. Yurame glared at the blue screen. "Get out of my head!"

[Unfortunately, host, I have no choice but to remain here.]

She looked around the bedroom. "Where am I? And what are you?"

[You're in the bedroom of Akuma, your slave and one of your male leads. I am System, your personal assistant for this world.]

"Well, I am not of this world!" She snapped. "Hurry up and send me back!"

Of course, she had read enough novels to understand what was happening. If she didn't complete a task, she would die. But she just wanted to go home.

[The host's physical body is dead, unable to return to the original world.]
