Chapter 20 -  Hand Over Your Food!!

Why were they the ones who got beaten up so badly—

while Uvogin was over here feasting like a king?!

Why were they grimacing in pain—

while he couldn't even close his mouth because he was eating so happily?!

Why were they wandering around outside in misery, sneaking around just to repair a motorcycle—

while he was stuffing himself full, with meat juices dripping from the corners of his mouth, making them drool uncontrollably?!

All of Phinks' resentment piled up together.

Each thought piled onto the next, turning into blazing anger.

Finally, he couldn't hold it in anymore.

He jumped out from the trees and shouted Uvogin's name.

"Hand over your food!!!"

His eyes were locked tightly on Uvogin—

—or rather, on the meat in Uvogin's hands.

Phinks had never, in his life, felt such an intense desire for a particular food.

"Ohhh, so this time you're trying to steal my meat, huh?"

Uvogin curled his lips into a grin.

Then he flashed a shameless smile that was practically designed to piss people off.

"Nope!"

The moment he finished speaking, his hands moved quickly.

He dumped all the remaining pieces of meat from the black coconut fruit straight into his mouth.

Chomp chomp.

The fatty, savory aroma instantly flooded his mouth again.

"You bastard…"

Phinks watched helplessly as the food disappeared into Uvogin's mouth.

He saw those precious pieces of meat getting crushed between Uvogin's teeth.

Yet he couldn't stop it.

All he could do was watch.

His anger exploded instantly.

At that moment he wanted nothing more than to rush forward, bite Uvogin to death, and tear him to pieces.

What made him even more furious was when he saw Uvogin casually flick his hand—

splattering leftover meat juice everywhere.

They hadn't even gotten a single drop.

Yet this guy was already wasting it like that.

It was so infuriating Phinks felt like his teeth might crack from clenching them.

"Today, no matter what you say, you're staying right here!!"

Phinks roared in fury.

"Perfect timing—we'll settle old and new debts together!!"

Feitan, standing beside him, nodded.

But his gaze wasn't on Uvogin.

Instead, it drifted toward the food in Arvin Locke and Machi's hands.

Grrrr…

His stomach growled faintly.

"You know…"

Uvogin swallowed the last mouthful of meat.

"Last time you came looking for me, you said the exact same thing."

He raised his fists toward Phinks.

"But last time you got beaten and ran away."

"Hah?!"

Phinks' brow twitched violently—despite him not even having eyebrows.

"That only happened because my motorcycle got caught in the fight!!"

He laughed angrily.

"If I hadn't been worried about my bike, you think you could've gotten away?!"

"Your mouth is tougher than anything else about you."

Uvogin snorted.

"Your punches are softer than a woman's—"

The two of them started shouting back and forth.

Each insult louder than the last.

Soon they were even throwing around crude and vulgar language.

"I mean, you two…"

Just as the atmosphere was reaching the point where a fight was about to break out—

Arvin Locke rolled his eyes.

"Can't you see people are eating here?!"

"Talking like that—are you trying to ruin someone's appetite?!"

"Tch."

Uvogin clicked his tongue.

But he still turned his head away and stopped looking at Phinks, leaving him with a blatant look of contempt.

After all, he had just eaten the meat Arvin Locke provided.

At least that much respect he would give.

Uvogin wasn't the type to eat someone's food and immediately turn around and curse them.

"Hmm?!"

Phinks, on the other hand, shifted his gaze away from Uvogin for the first time.

His eyes landed on Arvin Locke.

"You're the one who gave them this food?!"

People from the Enhancement category usually had sharp instincts.

He immediately sensed who the real source of the food was.

Besides, Uvogin and Machi were usually dirt poor.

They were lucky just to scrape together enough to fill their stomachs.

There was no way they could normally eat something this good.

Even now, Phinks couldn't stop himself from swallowing saliva.

"Yeah, that was me. What about it?"

"Oh? You, huh?"

Phinks curled his lips.

"Well that makes things easier."

His face slowly twisted into that same expression he had shown earlier when dealing with Chrollo—

an attempt at looking friendly and approachable…

that instead came out looking extremely terrifying.

"So then…"

He grinned.

"Do you have any more food?"

"I do."

Arvin Locke's lips curved upward.

"What, you want some?"

Of course I want some!

Phinks screamed internally.

His throat bobbed as he swallowed.

Meanwhile he tried his best to make his face look even more 'friendly'.

But before he could speak—

Arvin Locke calmly continued.

"If you want to eat…"

He finished the last bite of his braised pork rice, wiped his mouth, and smiled.

"You can beg me."

"Or ask me nicely."

Phinks: "???"

Feitan turned his head and narrowed his eyes at Arvin Locke.

Meanwhile—

Uvogin burst into a huge grin.

"Phinks, look at you now!!"

Seeing Phinks frozen in place, Uvogin couldn't help feeling incredibly satisfied.
