Endless Chaos – Chaos Void Plane: The Path of Belief

Chapter 5 — The First Apostle

Morning sunlight slowly spread across the primitive world.

Mist drifted between the trees surrounding the small tribal village, and the sounds of birds echoed through the quiet forest.

But inside one small hut, a boy suddenly woke with a sharp breath.

His heart was beating fast.

Strange dreams still lingered in his mind.

In the dream, he had seen a vast ocean of darkness stretching endlessly in every direction. In the center of that darkness floated a golden light—warm, calm, and powerful.

The light had spoken without words.

Not a voice.

But a feeling.

You are seen.

The boy sat up slowly.

His chest felt warm.

He placed his hand over his heart and felt a faint pulse of energy beneath his skin. The golden mark hidden within him quietly glowed before fading again.

He didn't understand it.

But he knew one thing.

The protector had not disappeared.

Outside, the village was already alive with activity.

Hunters had gathered around the giant corpse of the monster that had attacked them the night before. Some were cutting pieces of the beast for meat, while others examined its strange black scales.

The chief stood nearby, watching quietly.

When he noticed the boy approaching, his expression softened.

"You woke early," the chief said.

The boy nodded.

"I had a dream."

The chief leaned closer.

"What kind of dream?"

The boy looked up at the sky for a moment before answering.

"I saw the one who saved us."

The hunters nearby froze.

Even the wind seemed to pause.

The chief's eyes narrowed slightly.

"What did it say?"

The boy hesitated.

Then he shook his head.

"It didn't speak… but I felt something."

"Something warm."

"Something kind."

The villagers slowly gathered around him.

Fear and curiosity filled their eyes.

For them, the boy had become special overnight. He was the one who had prayed when no one else dared.

And now he was the one receiving dreams.

One of the hunters spoke nervously.

"Maybe… the protector chose him."

Murmurs spread among the people.

The chief remained silent for a long moment.

Then he nodded.

"If the protector speaks through dreams…"

"Then we must listen."

From that day forward, the boy was no longer just a child of the tribe.

He became something new.

The speaker of the unseen protector.

The villagers began coming to him with questions, prayers, and hopes.

And each time they believed…

The thread connecting their world to the Belief Realm grew stronger.

Far away in the endless Chaos Void Plane, the golden spark shined brilliantly within its growing realm.

Thousands of threads of belief now connected it to the primitive world.

The Faith Seed had grown into a radiant core of power.

Golden light filled the expanding domain, and the mist within the realm had begun forming clearer structures.

Great pillars of faith rose from the glowing ground.

A massive throne of light slowly took shape at the center.

The Belief Realm was evolving.

The consciousness within the spark observed everything calmly.

Through the connection with the boy, it could now see the world more clearly.

It could hear prayers.

Feel emotions.

Witness hope.

And every moment of faith strengthened its authority.

A new realization appeared in its mind.

"Believers need guidance."

"Faith needs a voice."

The boy on the distant world had become exactly that.

The First Apostle.

Through him, belief could spread far more quickly.

But as the Belief Realm continued growing…

A disturbance appeared in the distant chaos sea.

At the far edge of the spark's awareness, the currents of chaos began twisting unnaturally.

Something massive was moving.

Something ancient.

An enormous shadow drifted through the endless chaos, devouring fragments of broken worlds as it traveled.

Its presence alone caused the surrounding chaos to tremble.

It had existed long before the birth of countless planes.

A Chaos Devourer.

The creature paused for a moment, sensing the faint golden light of the Belief Realm far away.

Its monstrous body slowly turned.

Hunger awakened within it.

New gods were rare within the Chaos Void.

And newborn divine realms were fragile.

Perfect prey.

The creature opened its enormous mouth and swallowed an entire drifting concept fragment before continuing its journey.

It began moving slowly through the chaos sea.

Toward the growing Belief Realm.

Toward the golden spark.

Toward the newborn god who didn't yet understand the danger approaching.

Because in the Endless Chaos Void…

Faith could create gods.

But chaos still devoured everything.
