Chapter 1 - The chaos Monarch

The Chaos Sovereign: Heaven's Rebirth Chapter 1: The Bone-Sweeper of Azure Cloud

The wind atop the Azure Cloud Sect's outer peaks didn't carry the scent of pine or spirit-mist; it smelled of iron and old blood.

Long Chen gripped the handle of his rusted broom, his knuckles white and scarred. He was seventeen, but his frame was skeletal, a map of malnutrition and systematic abuse. Seventeen years ago, he was the "Star of Fallen Snow." Today, he was the "Worm of the Charcoal Sheds."

"Move, trash!"

A heavy boot slammed into Long Chen's ribs. He didn't cry out. He didn't even groan. He simply allowed the force to tumble him into the soot-stained snow. This was Grit. For a decade, his Dantian had been a withered husk, a bottomless pit that devoured every scrap of Qi he tried to gather.

"Look at those eyes," laughed Lu Feng, the Prefect's son, standing over him in shimmering silk robes. "Still looking at the sky? A worm should be looking at the dirt."

Long Chen stayed down, his face pressed against the cold earth. He wasn't looking at the dirt; he was counting the pulse of Lu Feng's footsteps. Left foot heavy, right lung slightly congested. A flawed Foundation. He didn't speak. To speak was to invite more pain. To endure was to survive.

The Awakening Stone

The disciples gathered at the central plaza for the Rite of Selection. The ritual stone—a massive slab of obsidian—was meant to measure the potential of one's soul.

When it was Long Chen's turn, the mockery reached a fever pitch.

"If that stone glows for him, I'll eat my own sword!" an Elder joked from the high balcony.

Long Chen walked forward. His heartbeat was slow—thirty beats per minute. He reached out and touched the stone.

[The Inheritance: Breaking the Seals]

Deep within his consciousness, something that had been slumbering for eons felt the touch of the stone's catalyst. A roar that predated the stars erupted in his mind.

[Requirement Met: Indomitable Will Detected.]

[Initiating Inheritance: Primordial Dragon of Chaos Bloodline.]

[Status: Chaos Core Awakening...]

The pain hit him like a physical hammer. It wasn't just energy; it was a total molecular restructuring.

"ARGH!" Long Chen's skin began to tear. His old, brittle bones shattered—not from an external blow, but from the pressure of the Chaos Marrow expanding within them. To the onlookers, he was exploding. To Long Chen, he was being forged.

[Condition: Body Reconstruction.]

[Result: Seamless Jade Structure attained.]

His meridians didn't just widen; they vanished. His entire body became a single, unified vessel for Qi. No more "pressure points." No more "death gates." He was a solid unit of divine matter.

The First Face-Slap

The obsidian stone didn't just glow—it vaporized.

The shockwave sent the Outer Court disciples flying. Long Chen stood in the center of the crater. His skeletal frame had filled out, his muscles now possessing the terrifying symmetry of a predator. His eyes, once dark, now harbored a swirling, golden nebula.

Lu Feng, the first to recover, rushed forward in a panic. "You used a demonic trick! Die, you cur!"

Lu Feng's fist, glowing with the blue light of the 3rd-Stage Qi Condensation, flew toward Long Chen's temple.

Long Chen didn't move his head. He didn't even raise a hand to parry. He let the punch land.

CRACK.

The sound of breaking bone echoed across the plaza. It wasn't Long Chen's skull that broke. Lu Feng's hand shattered against Long Chen's Seamless Skin as if he had punched a mountain made of diamond.

"You spoke of worms and cranes," Long Chen said, his voice carrying a draconic resonance that made the Elders' souls tremble. "But you forgot one thing, Lu Feng. Even a crane is just a snack for a Dragon."

With a casual flick of his wrist, Long Chen sent a wave of Chaos Qi into Lu Feng's chest. The "Young Master" was sent sailing across the plaza, crashing through the Sect's main gates.
