The battlefield was gruesome, there were heads of soldiers flying off there necks one moment and the next there were laser beams piercing people through the chest.
There were Dragons flying in the sky raining down hellfire on the Lucentia army, bodies dropping left and right, until a flash of light tore through the sky and the head of one of the humongous dragons went flying as well.
A beautiful women with let down crystiline silver hair, pitch black eyes and pale white skin then descended from the light and stood at the front of the charge, it was the Sword Saintess, Charlotte McAllister, the strongest person in all of Lucentia apart from the archangels and it looked like she was waiting for something.
As soon as the Lucentia army finally felt a chance of wining, a figure arose from the massive tide of demons and merfolk, a man slowly emerged from the tide revealing his slick back crystalline white hair, pitch black eyes and pale skin, it was Rónán McAllister, the SinSword, the strongest person in all of Umbrage apart from the archdemons and he stood right in front of Charlotte.
The two power houses were actually twin siblings who were born in Drege as orphans, but when the war broke out 15 years ago they went there separate ways, fighting on different sides.
They grew to dislike each other because of the choose they made and on various occasions when their swords met they didn't hold back and tried to kill each other.
The two figures, one enveloped in light the other in darkness met each other face to face on the ground of a horrible war.
They spoke for a few moments but nobody could hear what they were saying.
Then a black dragon the size of a building came barreling down towrds the pair of fighters, it was Evelyn Vox.
Upon seeing this the Lucentia army heard a wave of chearing coming from the demonic side.
Evelyn then transformed into an alluring women with raven black hair, amythist purple eyes and pale skin, she also had scales scattered all over her body and two huge horns protruding from her head.
Evelyn Vox was the second most powerful person in Umbrage after Rónán.
When she landed she instantly ran towards Rónán and hopped onto his back saying, " good to see you, sister-in-law ", Charlotte payed her no mind as she continued to stare Rónán down.
She then spoke with a clear scowl playing on her face, but this time everyone could hear her, " does that insufferable woman have to be hear ", Rónán then snapped back by saying, " this insufferable women, just so happens to be my wife, so calm your tongue ".
Charlotte then clicked her tongue in disapproval and said, " now, brother, I don't particularly care for you, but I won't stand here ideally while that wretched women claims to be my sister-in-law ".
Upon hearing those words come out of her sister-in-laws mouth, Evelyn felt quite upset and requested Rónán to let her beat the living shit out of her, but Rónán refused because that was his job and she wouldn't last long against his sister.
As they continued to talk ideally the crowd of soldiers on both side started to get restless when suddenly Evelyn struck Charlotte straight in the face, Charlotte didn't show any sign of being effected by the blow though.
Rónán then turned to face Evelyn with a sad smile and said, " this is my fight, I want you to go and kill the rest of the people in the Lucentia army... do it for me ".
The request brang a tear to Evelyn's eyes as she responded by saying, " you can count on me, I'll kill every last one of them ".
After that public show of affection, the Lucentia army looked over to the demonic side to see that they were all crying because of the spectical.
On the other side Charlotte was a bit worried, even though she didn't show any worry about Evelyn, that was in a direct clash between the two of them, but against the army, she feared it might end badly.
As Evelyn assumed her dragonic form still with a tear in her eye a man wearing full plated armer riding on a hourse shouted, " you shall face me beast ", it was the knight commander, Oliver Crane.
Oliver Crane was the second most powerful person in Lucentia after Charlotte.
When Evelyn saw Oliver she laughed and said, " you again, come on is there anyone better that I can fight against ".
When Oliver heard that he turned to look at Charlotte and said, " my lady, if I win this bout, may you accompany me on a romantic date in the streets of Lucentia ".
Charlotte's eyes squinted upon this request, she then quickly declined which left Oliver in a bad mood, then Rónán said with a sly smile on his face, " and your judging my choice on a romantic partner ".
" Just to clarify, I have no romantic feelings towards that eejit ", Charlotte answered. Rónán then said, " well we have chatted for to long I'm afraid the soldiers are getting restless, shall we begin ".
" yes, I would would very much appre... ", but before she could finish her sentence, her head went flying of her neck.
When the soldiers saw what Rónán did, they were enraged and charged towards him, but then something strange happened, Charlotte's head magicly appeared back on her shoulders as if it had never slid off.
She then shouted to the soldiers, " this is my fight, go fight yours ", the soldiers without a second thought went off to fight the Umbrage army, the Umbrage army didn't need instruction on what to do because they were told to just kill the enemy before this battle even started.
Rónán stood a couple meters away from the reformed Charlotte, but in an instant he was gone, he had appeared behind her.
She then swung her long sword behind her, but only cut through air, as Rónán doged and delt his own attack to her back.
Charlotte barley dodged that attack, she then dropped her sword and focused, she conjured up two light swords and placed them into her hands.
Rónán then smiled at her and swung once again, this time aiming for her legs so she couldn't doge so easily.
But his swing was parried and a counter attack came centimeters from cutting his face.
He then stepped back a bit and engulfed his katana in darkness, he then jumped up into the air and grabbed onto Evelyn's claw while she was flying above them in her own battle against Oliver.
He then let go of Evelyn and came plummeting towards Charlotte, Charlotte then conjured up a shield made of light that blocked Rónáns blow, but not without damage, as the light shield started to fall apart, she charged at Rónán.
She got inches from him and whispered something in his ear, he then nodded and fled backwards while both of her long swords were coming down to slash him.
They both then came running full speed at each other, but the strange thing about it was the fact that they were both moving there mouths really fast and no words were coming out of them either.
But then they clashed, Rónáns sword pierced Charlotte's chest as she spat out a liter of blood, but Rónán himself wasn't fine, because he himself also had a sword protruding through his chest.
They had both pierced each other at the same time, killing each other.
When the two armies saw that scene they were dumbstruck, both armies could hear Evelyn's screams as she flew over to the lifeless corpse of her husband.
Evelyn then transformed into her humanoid form again and knelt down and placed Rónáns body on her lap as she cried.
Rónán and Charlotte then woke up, when they woke up they found themselves in drege, drege was a dump of sorts where everyone from Umbrage or Lucentia would throw the unwanted.
Rónán then shouted in delight, " it worked, it really, really worked ", as Charlotte breathed in the old crusty, polluted air in Drege she let out a sigh of relief.
The two of them had discussed a plan regarding going back in time 20 years to prevent the war or at least kill the beings that started it.
They then both said in unison while walking down the abandoned streets of drege, " let's do this ".
