Until it was Christmas day, Nayeon ignored Dohyun completely and never picked up any of his calls or answered his texts since then. She was having a splendid time with her niece and elder sister. She also brought her original appearance back and removed the dye from her hair. She looked like Nayeon again and not Nari Na.
Nayeon ignored all the topics about Dohyun and her on social media and continued living her regular life without Dohyun. She realised that Dohyun also continued sending her a specific amount of money weekly and she wondered why. But it supported herself, her sister and niece since she was not working anymore.
On Christmas day, Heeseung and Haerin invited Nayeon, Minju and Ariyana to a theme park.
It was the same theme park that she and Dohyun went to once. A part of her missed him but she had already convinced herself that she had disgraced him and ruined whatever they had between them. She just accepted the fact that he may end up marrying Leah after all.
Nayeon and Ariyana were playing a game together at a stall while Haerin, Heeseung and Minju went on a roller coaster. Nayeon refused to go with them because of what happened the last time she went a roller coaster and stayed with Ariyana instead.
They were doing just fine until Nayeon noticed someone staring at them. Nayeon tried to remember who the person was because he looked familiar. She suddenly remembered that it was the face of Byeol Kim, Leah's twin brother. She wondered why he was just staring at them and he jolted once he found out that Nayeon spotted him. Nayeon signaled for him to approach them and he did. Ariyana won many rounds and got plenty of prizes.
Byeol noticed Ariyana.
"Hi, Nayeon. Who is this?" He asked about Ariyana.
"Gosh, was that why you were staring so intensely at us from afar like a stalker? Because you wanted to know who my niece is?" Nayeon said in annoyance.
"Oh, sorry about that... But did you just say that she is your niece?"
"Yes, she is."
Ariyana waved at Byeol once she noticed him.
Byeol smiled at her.
"You know, I was present at the Christmas party that day. And when everyone found out that your were actually Nayeon, I was shocked. You have a sister right?"
"Don't act like you don't know Minju."
"I knew it... So that makes your niece..."
"Yes, yes. She is your daughter, Byeol."
Byeol broke into tears and hugged Ariyana.
"Oh, thank goodness! I thought I would never get see my own daughter again!"
"Daughter?" Ariyana was confused.
Nayeon was happy to see them reunited. But she suddenly heard and angry voice behind her.
"Byeol!?" She turned around to see Minju looking furious.
Byeol was glad to see Minju.
"Minju... It has been a while." Byeol said.
Minju held Ariyana close to her.
"Why are you acting like we're friends? We are not. And you can't just claim my daughter as yours after you left us years ago!" Minju yelled.
Byeol was remorseful.
"I know, Minju. And I am ashamed of myself. Allow me to make things right with you and Ariyana again. I beg of you. Grant this one wish for me. Please, Minju." Byeol begged.
Nayeon also begged Minju.
"Please give him a chance, Minju." She begged.
Ariyana also begged her mom.
"Mom, please. I have never gotten to know my dad before!" She exclaimed.
Minju gave it some thought and sighed.
"Alright. I will give you a chance." Everyone was happy. "But if you screw up, Byeol. You'll see what will happen to you..."
"Still the same Minju as ever. I am glad to know." Byeol said.
"What was that!?" Minju asked.
Nayeon left the family to spend their time together and didn't want to join Haerin and Heeseung the couple because she felt like she would just get in their way. So Nayeon left the theme park and went to her favourite coffee shop. The same coffee shop that she signed that contract with Dohyun.
Nayeon sat down and was peacefully having her coffee until she heard a familiar voice from behind.
"Nayeon... Is that you?" Nayeon sharply turned around and was in awe to see Dohyun.
"Dohyun...?" Nayeon said in her shock.
Nayeon was surprised when Dohyun pulled her into a hug and was in tears.
"Nayeon, why haven't you been answering my calls or texts? Do you know how worried I was?" He said.
Nayeon was confused.
"I-I don't understand... Why are you not angry at me after I disgraced you that day?" She said.
"Absolutely not! It's me who should be apologising for bringing you up stage all of the sudden. It was even more embarrassing for you. I am so sorry, Nayeon!"
"I'm sorry too."
Dohyun suddenly went on his knees and pulled out a sparkly ring.
"Nayeon... I love you. I meant what I said that day. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Nayeon."
Tears foamed in Nayeon's eyes.
"But what about Leah?"
"She is not and will never be my fiancée again. I have begged my parents to give you a chance and they have agreed. Everything is sorted out with Leah's family too."
Nayeon was speechless.
"Dohyun..."
"Nayeon Park... Will you marry me?"
Nayeon burst into tears.
"Yes, Dohyun. I will marry you!"
Nayeon and Dohyun hugged and everyone in the café went into an applause.
Nayeon was so happy that Dohyun still wanted to be with her despite everything that had happened. She was willing to give them a chance. His proposal was the best Christmas gift that she could ever get, and she would never forget about it.
