Chapter 4 - Furious Wild Boar

Just then, a burly black tiger burst out from the bushes behind.

Both the golden Mother Wolf and the other four blue male wolves were terrified.

The pressure emanating from deep within his Bloodline filled them with dread.

However, the Mother Wolf did not flee like the other four; instead, she returned to her cubs' side and crouched down to protect them.

Han Ye bypassed her entirely and lunged at the other wolves, killing them all.

"Ding! Host has hunted four Mutated Wild Wolves. evolution points +4!"

He walked back and saw a pool of blood beneath the Mother Wolf.

She had suffered severe injuries right after giving birth and was no longer able to survive.

She struggled to lift her head and looked at Han Ye, her eyes filled with a sense of pleading.

Her movement froze in mid-air for a moment before she collapsed, drawing her final breath.

Han Ye stepped forward, lifted a paw to move the Mother Wolf aside, and looked at her small cubs.

He opened his tiger mouth, scooped the cubs inside, and carried them back to his cave.

The next day, one of the cubs died.

On the fifth day, another cub died.

Half a month later, only one cub remained from the litter.

It wasn't that Han Ye hadn't taken good care of them, but rather that in nature, the survival rate of animal offspring is naturally low.

Furthermore, he wasn't a Mother Wolf and didn't understand the habits of their kind, so there were bound to be oversights.

He usually fed them Mountain Deer milk or wild boar milk, but the nutrition wasn't sufficient.

After half a month, the fact that one cub was still alive was actually an unexpected surprise.

This little cub had grown quite a bit now; while it weighed only about three catties at birth, it had now reached over twenty catties.

Moreover, its fur had inherited its mother's genes and was golden.

"Little guy, why aren't you drinking any milk today?"

"Wolves and dogs are from the same family; puppies usually take a month or a month and a half to wean..."

"But you, little guy, are resilient and easy to raise—you're an anomaly."

Han Ye muttered to himself as he looked at the little golden wolf.

He used the System to appraise it and found that this little golden wolf was quite extraordinary.

[Race: Golden Wind Wolf]

[Rank: /]

[Talent: Golden Claws, wolf claws imbued with the sharpness of Geng-Gold; Wind Chaser, extremely fast!]

[comprehensive combat power: 24]

"This little guy has two Talents; he's bound for greatness in the future," Han Ye thought.

He had only taken in the cubs for the sake of their mother; he hadn't expected such a pleasant surprise.

The little guy walked over to Han Ye's feet and affectionately rubbed its small head against him.

"Little guy, stay here and be good."

"I'm going outside to get some fresh meat."

Han Ye gestured to it, and the little guy, being highly intelligent, seemed to understand; it immediately walked to a corner of the cave and obediently lay down.

"You two can leave as well!"

"Considering how hard you've worked lately, I won't eat you."

At the cave entrance, he looked at the Mountain Deer and the wild boar he had captured and let them go.

The Mountain Deer and the wild boar fled as if they had received a royal pardon, vanishing in an instant... Because he had to look after the cubs, Han Ye's Hunting frequency had decreased significantly lately.

Coming out today, he felt that something about his surroundings was different.

Quiet—too quiet!

Usually, the forest was filled with birdsong, but now it was deathly silent.

As a light breeze passed, the rustling of the leaves could be heard clearly.

Hiss, hiss, hiss...

Just then, the sound of a snake flicking its tongue reached Han Ye's ears, and he spun around abruptly.

He saw a giant python slithering rapidly toward him.

The giant python reared up its upper body, which alone was two meters long!

Its eyes were crimson, its Scaled Armor was grayish-black, and it was as thick as a tree trunk, radiating an intense sense of pressure.

[Race: Vajra Python]

[Rank: E-Rank ☆☆☆]

[Talent: Constriction, Constriction force increases threefold after entangling an opponent]

[comprehensive combat power: 203]

"Why would such a creature appear here?" Han Ye wondered.

Snakes generally have a very strong sense of territory and rarely wander around.

Having lived here for nearly three months, if this Vajra Python were a local, the two of them would have clashed long ago.

"Could it be..."

By now, the Vajra Python had already charged in.

It delivered a tail whip so powerful it even produced a sonic boom!

A red light flashed in Han Ye's eyes as he placed a mark on the Vajra Python.

Then he leaped up and roared at the Vajra Python.

┗|`O′|┛ Roar~~

The Vajra Python's tail strike missed, and it was injured by Han Ye's Tiger Roar, causing its raised head to immediately droop.

Han Ye lunged at it and bit down.

His two sword-like tiger fangs sank deep into the Vajra Python's body.

The Vajra Python wailed, its body twitching frantically.

This Vajra Python's Rank was the same as Han Ye's, so it naturally wouldn't be defeated so easily.

Enduring Han Ye's claws and bites, it began to coil around him bit by bit.

Crack, crack!

Han Ye felt several of his bones being crushed.

A python's Constriction is already terrifying, but the Vajra Python's Talent increased its strength threefold while constricting.

This power was truly terrifying!

However, the tighter it constricted, the more fiercely Han Ye bit; it was a contest of who could endure longer.

Just then, the ground shook violently.

Bang, bang, bang!

A large wild boar with a bristly mane and terrifying tusks dashed out from the distance.

This wild boar was massive, over two meters tall and weighing at least three or four thousand catties!

[Race: Furious Wild Boar]

[Rank: E-Rank ☆☆☆☆]

[Talent: Violent Collision, the further the Charge distance, the higher the damage dealt]

[comprehensive combat power: 312]

"As I thought..."

Han Ye knew the Vajra Python wouldn't appear here for no reason.

This Furious Wild Boar must be the one behind this.

In truth, given his strength, the Vajra Python wouldn't have had any chance to entangle him.

He had done it on purpose to lure the snake out of its hole, and now his goal was achieved!

In an instant, he transformed from a "sick tiger" into a ferocious one, launching a frenzied attack on the Vajra Python.

After being constricted by the Vajra Python, his Unyielding Talent had been triggered, granting him a significant damage bonus.

With a tearing sound, his tiger claws plunged directly into the Vajra Python's body.

Like a small knife cutting through paper, he sliced straight down.

No matter how resilient the Vajra Python's vitality was, it could not withstand Han Ye's frantic assault.

It no longer had the strength to constrict and slumped to the ground.

However, by this time, the Furious Wild Boar had already charged over, its tusks piercing into Han Ye's body as it pushed him forward.

It kept pushing him, snapping several trees in succession before finally stopping.

Any other ☆☆☆ Rank creature would have certainly been unable to withstand this collision from the Tusked Wild Boar.

But Han Ye also had the Blood Locking Talent, and it was now active!

Despite being constricted by the Vajra Python for so long, his status hadn't even dropped by half.

Yet this single hit from the Tusked Wild Boar had directly triggered his passive Talent, showing just how terrifying it was.

Han Ye let out a roar, raised his tiger claws to grab the Furious Wild Boar's tusks, and pulled them out.

Then, with a forceful shove, he sent the Furious Wild Boar—which was several times his size—flying.
