Chapter 1 - The Attic Room

Kolkata is a city of secrets, but for Ananya, the secrets were buried deep within the walls of her ancestral home. After years, she had returned to the decaying mansion of her late grandfather.

On her first night, the silence was broken by a sound—the metallic chime of a silver anklet. Clink. Clink. Clink. It was coming from the attic, a room padlocked for twenty years.

Ananya took the rusty key and climbed the creaky stairs. The air grew colder. When she opened the door, the room was empty and dusty. But in the center sat an old, ornate wooden mirror. In the mirror, behind her reflection, stood a shadow—a woman in a tattered red saree.

Ananya spun around, but the room was empty. When she looked back at the mirror, a message appeared on the glass: "Help me find the other one."

Suddenly, the sound of the anklet started again, right behind her ear.
