Chapter 535 - Chapter 7: A Normal School Day

Takeru stepped out of the dorm area.

He stopped.

Something felt…

different.

Not dangerous.

Not cursed.

Not cosmic.

Just…

normal.

Students were walking through the halls.

Actual students.

Carrying books.

Talking.

Yawning.

Arguing about homework.

Someone was even running because they were apparently late.

Takeru stared.

"…Wait."

He looked around.

"Are we actually having classes?"

A student walked past him with a stack of notebooks.

"Morning."

Takeru slowly raised a hand.

"…Morning."

He watched them disappear down the hallway.

For so long, Jujutsu High had been nothing but battles, colonies, dimensional nonsense, beach parties, gods, alternate timelines, and enough Sukuna-related nonsense to fill several encyclopedias.

And now…

School.

Takeru checked the time.

8:57 AM.

Three minutes until class.

"…Huh."

He started walking toward Gojo's first-year classroom.

As he walked, more and more students joined the flow of people heading toward class.

It almost felt like the entire school had collectively remembered:

"Oh right. We're students."

Takeru reached the hallway outside the classroom.

He looked through the doorway.

Desks.

Chairs.

A chalkboard.

Actual school supplies.

Takeru stared.

"This feels wrong."

He glanced around.

Everyone was behaving normally.

"…Like, suspiciously normal."

He had three minutes before class.

So instead of going inside immediately, Takeru wandered toward the water fountain.

He pressed the button.

SHHHHH.

Water flowed.

Takeru leaned down and took a drink.

He straightened.

"…Wow."

He stared at the fountain.

"I've fought gods."

He took another drink.

"I've been through multiple timelines."

Another drink.

"I've met alternate versions of basically everyone."

Another drink.

"And somehow…"

He stared at the perfectly ordinary water fountain.

"…this is the strangest thing I've experienced."

A student walked past.

"Dude, you okay?"

Takeru looked over.

"Yeah."

He paused.

"Just appreciating the water fountain."

The student stared at him.

"…Okay."

They walked away.

Takeru watched them go.

He checked the time again.

8:59 AM.

"One minute."

Takeru adjusted his sunglasses.

"Alright."

He turned toward the classroom.

"Let's see if I can survive a normal school day."

He started walking.

For the first time in what felt like forever…

Takeru Gojo was going to class.

And somehow, that felt more unnatural than fighting a god.
