Takeru opened the classroom door.
He stopped.
"…What?"
Both Gojo's were sitting at their desks.
Neither was teaching.
Neither was even pretending to teach.
They were both lazily scrolling through their phones.
Takeru stared at them.
"You guys are supposed to be teaching."
One Gojo didn't look up.
"Eventually."
The other nodded.
"Probably."
Takeru sighed.
"Of course."
Then he looked around the room.
And immediately realized something was very, very wrong.
Megumi was sitting where he normally would.
Yuji was there.
Nobara was there.
So far, completely normal.
But there were way more students than there were supposed to be.
Panda was sitting toward the back.
Inumaki was beside him.
Maki was there.
Yuta was there.
Kirara was sitting near Hakari.
And Hakari himself was sitting at a desk.
Takeru stared.
"…Why are you guys here?"
Hakari shrugged.
"Apparently I'm a student today."
Takeru pointed at him.
"You're suspended."
"Yep."
"And you're still here."
"Yep."
Takeru rubbed his forehead.
"Okay."
Then he noticed two more people near the front of the classroom.
Geto.
And Kenjaku.
Takeru's expression completely changed.
"…What."
Kenjaku casually sat at a desk.
Geto was sitting nearby.
Neither seemed particularly concerned about being in a first-year classroom.
Takeru slowly walked farther into the room.
"Why are you two here?"
Kenjaku looked at him.
"Good morning, Takeru."
"That's not an answer."
Geto glanced toward Kenjaku.
"I was wondering the same thing."
Kenjaku shrugged.
"I was invited."
Takeru pointed at him.
"By who?!"
One of the Gojo's finally looked up from his phone.
"Me."
Takeru slowly turned toward him.
"You invited Kenjaku to class?"
"Yep."
"Why?"
The Gojo looked back at his phone.
"Thought it'd be funny."
Takeru stared.
"…You know what?"
He pointed toward the entire classroom.
"Actually, forget Kenjaku for a second."
He gestured around.
"WHY IS EVERYONE HERE?!"
Panda raised his paw.
"I don't know."
Inumaki shrugged.
"Salmon."
Yuta looked around.
"I just came because everyone else was coming."
Maki nodded.
"Same."
Kirara shrugged.
"I was curious."
Hakari leaned back.
"I heard there was class."
Takeru stared at him.
"You're suspended."
"I know."
"Why are you attending?"
Hakari grinned.
"Because I'm bored."
Takeru slowly looked around the classroom again.
Megumi.
Yuji.
Nobara.
Panda.
Inumaki.
Maki.
Yuta.
Kirara.
Hakari.
Geto.
Kenjaku.
Two Gojo's.
Takeru sat down.
"…This is the weirdest normal school day I've ever seen."
Nobara looked around.
"Honestly, I'm more concerned about why Geto and Kenjaku are sitting next to each other."
Everyone slowly looked toward them.
Geto looked at Kenjaku.
Kenjaku looked at Geto.
"…Awkward."
Takeru sighed.
"And class hasn't even started."
One of the Gojo's checked the clock.
"Thirty seconds."
Takeru stared at him.
"…Please tell me you're actually teaching today."
The Gojo smiled.
"No promises."
The bell rang.
DING! DING! DING!
Everyone looked toward the front.
And Takeru realized something.
For once, there wasn't a monster attacking them.
There wasn't a cursed spirit swarm.
There wasn't a god descending from the sky.
There wasn't a dimensional portal.
It was just school.
Except Kenjaku was sitting three desks away.
"…Yep."
Takeru rested his head on his hand.
"Completely normal."
