The bell had just finished ringing.
Everyone was seated.
The classroom was unusually packed.
Two Gojo's were still staring at their phones.
Kenjaku was sitting near the front like this was completely ordinary.
Takeru looked around the classroom.
He waited.
Five seconds.
Ten.
Neither Gojo had even looked up.
Takeru sighed.
"I already know we aren't gonna learn anything…"
He stood up.
Then looked toward Yuji.
"Yuji, come on. We are gonna take a walk around school."
Yuji blinked.
"Right now?"
"Yep."
"But class just started."
Takeru pointed toward the two Gojo's.
"Look at them."
Yuji looked.
Both Gojo's were still scrolling on their phones.
"…Yeah, okay."
Yuji stood.
"Where are we going?"
"Anywhere."
Takeru walked toward the door.
"Let's just enjoy having a normal school day for once."
Nobara raised an eyebrow.
"You're seriously leaving?"
Takeru looked back.
"Absolutely."
Megumi sighed.
"You're going to get us all in trouble."
Takeru smiled.
"Probably."
Yuji followed him out.
"Wait for me!"
The two walked into the hallway.
The classroom door slowly closed behind them.
For several seconds, neither spoke.
They simply walked.
Students passed them.
Teachers walked between classrooms.
Someone was carrying a stack of textbooks.
Somewhere down the hall, a teacher was already telling students to stop running.
Yuji smiled.
"This is weird."
Takeru nodded.
"Very."
"We've been through so much…"
"And now we're walking around school instead of fighting."
Yuji looked at him.
"Kind of nice, though."
Takeru smiled.
"Yeah."
They continued down the hallway.
Takeru glanced through a classroom window.
Actual students were taking notes.
He stared.
"People are actually learning."
Yuji laughed.
"Imagine that."
Takeru put his hands behind his head.
"Maybe we should've been doing this the entire time."
Yuji looked at him.
"Didn't you literally say we weren't going to learn anything?"
"Yeah."
Takeru grinned.
"I'm still right."
They turned the corner.
And somewhere behind them, in the classroom they had abandoned…
one of the Gojo's finally looked up from his phone.
"…Where'd Takeru and Yuji go?"
The other Gojo shrugged.
"No idea."
Kenjaku calmly looked toward the door.
"They went for a walk."
Both Gojo's nodded.
"Cool."
They returned to their phones.
The school day continued.
For once, nobody was fighting.
Nobody was dying.
Nobody was activating a Domain Expansion.
It was almost suspiciously peaceful.
Takeru and Yuji continued wandering the halls.
"Where should we go next?"
Takeru thought for a moment.
"Cafeteria."
Yuji immediately nodded.
"Now that's education."
