"Impossible!"
Zhou Ye was the first to object. "Ruoyao could never do such a thing!"
Yet, looking at the forced composure on Li Ruoyao's face, he couldn't deny it. But he still couldn't believe it was really Li Ruoyao. She was so pure and beautiful. How could she...?
Li Ruoyao felt uncomfortable under his gaze, her heart burning with anger. If he hadn't promised to deal with Lin Zhi but then dragged his feet, would she have had to take matters into her own hands? What a useless man.
Zhou Congli, however, had lost all patience. Disregarding both the Li Family and the Zhou family, he told the police to handle it strictly according to the evidence.
With that said, he wrapped an arm around Lin Zhi, ready to leave. Mrs. Li refused to let them go, blocking their path.
"Zhou Congli, are you really going to treat me like this for that woman?" Li Ruoyao asked.
"I will announce the cancellation of our engagement tomorrow," Zhou Congli replied, then led Lin Zhi away.
