Riley Jennings had lunch with them, but when Wayne Quinn went to settle the bill afterward, he was told it had already been paid for.
Standing behind Wayne Quinn, Olivia Wynne instantly recalled Riley Jennings leaving to use the restroom during the meal. 'That must have been when he paid the bill,' she thought.
She glanced toward the main dining area, but Riley Jennings was nowhere to be seen.
Wayne Quinn came to Olivia Wynne's side and said in a low voice, "Manager Jennings must have been the one who paid."
"I know. We'll just have to treat him next time we get the chance."
Olivia Wynne said this in a low voice and started walking toward the exit.
Wayne Quinn followed her. When they reached the restaurant entrance, he offered in a low voice, "I'll give you a ride home."
He knew that ever since the company car she'd been given was taken back, Olivia had been relying on taxis.
"That's okay, I'll just grab a cab."
