The next morning, Olivia Wynne was woken by the sound of knocking. Groggily, she turned over and glanced quickly toward the door.
The door was closed. Seeing that no one was coming to open it, the person outside paused for a moment, then knocked again rhythmically.
This time, Olivia Wynne was much more awake. She quickly got up, slipped on her slippers, and went to open the door.
Standing at the door was Zachary Fairchild, his gaze fixed straight ahead.
"You're awake. Go freshen up and come eat, or you'll be late for work."
Last night, Olivia Wynne had mentioned that she needed to be on set before eight o'clock. Zachary had remembered, which was why he'd come to wake her when he saw it was getting late and she still wasn't up.
"Uh, I'll be right there."
Olivia Wynne said softly, then turned to go back and freshen up.
Zachary turned without looking at her, but once he had, he added in a low voice, "The buttons on your pajamas are open."
