Despite his words, his heart pounded with panic now that he had to actually face Preston Keaton.
He dragged Annelise Rhodes out of the villa. Seeing the Rolls-Royce motorcade approaching from a distance, Mr. Rhodes suppressed his unease and walked forward with a smile.
"Mr. Keaton, what brings you here today?"
Even though the man hadn't helped him before, he still had to treat him with the utmost respect.
Annelise Rhodes hid behind her father. She could feel Preston Keaton's icy gaze land on the crown of her head, and she couldn't help but shiver. She didn't dare look up, her ears filled only with the man's clear, cold voice.
"I heard Mr. Rhodes has been distraught since the loss of his son. I happened to be passing through the Aura District today, so I thought I'd pay a special visit."
'He hadn't heard of any important events in the Aura District that would require Preston Keaton's personal attendance. Then again, no one else had the right to know the details of his schedule.'
