Chapter 131 - Chapter 131: Genos Was Careless Again (Part 1)

Chapter 131: Genos Was Careless Again (Part 1)

"Driver, can you go a little further?"

While Genos and Mosquito Girl were fighting for their lives, King was haggling with a taxi driver outside the Ghost Town. Due to the fear the residents of Z City had for the Ghost Town, the taxi driver refused to enter, no matter what.

The stubble-faced taxi driver said imploringly, "Sir, I really can't go in any further. You'd best not go in either. A lot of monsters have gathered inside. If you go in alone, you could easily lose your life."

King said helplessly, "Then if you go in with me, I won't be alone!"

The taxi driver shook his head frantically. "Sir, earlier today, the monster alarm in the city center reported a Demon-level disaster, telling us all to stay indoors if possible. I've already taken a huge risk bringing you here. I absolutely will not go any further."

"I'll add a hundred."

"Not going."

"A thousand."

"If I go in, I won't be alive to spend the money."

"Ten thousand."

"Get the hell out of my car! If you offer any more money, I'm afraid I won't be able to stop myself from agreeing."

Boom!

With a roar of its engine, the yellow taxi sped away, turning back at lightning speed. It even executed a perfect drift through the curve. One look and you could tell this was a man with a story, who probably used to deliver tofu.

"Sigh, today I finally understand that money isn't everything."

King watched the taxi disappear around the bend of the vine-covered road, his face full of sighs. He turned his head back to look at the silent Z-City Uninhabited Area, and his scalp inexplicably started to tingle. Ah, I forgot to wash my hair last night.

"I wonder if Saitama is home?"

On this trip, besides his unchanging baseball cap and windbreaker, he also had a small backpack containing a newly bought video camera. The goal was to film Saitama's naked (censored) heroic moment. Ahem, speaking of which, that guy Sitch is too shameless. Knowing I'm in Z City, he called to inform me as soon as the disaster was discovered, requesting that I fend it off. But it doesn't matter. Mosquito Girl will definitely be eliminated by Saitama, so I'll basically have nothing to do. Ahem, I'll just be a bystander. Wait, it seems like I'm always just a bystander. This question... is thought-provoking.

Rumble!

Just as he was pondering Saitama's whereabouts, a burst of light suddenly erupted a thousand meters ahead of him, like an atomic bomb exploding. Raging flames soared within a radius of several hundred meters.

His eyes lit up, and he clapped his hands together, smiling, "This is great. Now I know where Saitama is."

If his memory served him right, that explosion should be from the battle between Genos and Mosquito Girl. Saitama only became completely red (censored) naked because he was caught in their fight.

"Time to go, *The Naked Dash of Saitama*. Tsk, speaking of which, Auntie's Incineration Cannon is really hot. Even from a thousand meters away, I can still feel the impact of the heatwave. Ahem, this Tokyo sure is hot."

…

"Who is he?"

Genos frowned, looking at the approaching person who was chasing a single mosquito with a bottle of insecticide. The newcomer had a shiny bald head and a flustered, exasperated expression. He wore a yellow short-sleeved shirt, yellowish shorts, and house slippers, looking completely like an ordinary person. Ahem, although that head is still quite eye-catching.

The person who had arrived was none other than Saitama, who lived nearby. He had been battling the mosquito for three hundred rounds, an inseparable fight that had led him from his house to the outside. So far, no victor had been decided.

Pshh, pshh!

Saitama wildly sprayed the insecticide at the mosquito, but in his carelessness, he sprayed it into his own mouth. "Ptooey, ptooey, crap! I sprayed it in my own mouth! Ptooey! Damn it!"

He spat forcefully a few times, only stopping after making sure there was no insecticide residue left in his mouth. He then remembered the mosquito he had been chasing and immediately raised his head to search for the trail of that damned insect. Who would have known that upon lifting his head, he would see a black storm formed from tens of thousands of mosquitoes?

He said in surprise, "Huh? Something's moving? Hey, wait a second, mosquitoes... It's mosquitoes." His eyes widened, completely stunned, as if he could feel the full malice of the entire world. He couldn't even beat one mosquito, and now there was a whole swarm... Argh, so annoying!

Genos looked at the "petrified" Saitama and said in an authoritative tone, "Hey, you... an ordinary person. There's still time. Hurry and take shelter!" He pointed to the swarm of mosquitoes in the sky and said in a low voice, "Those mosquitoes possess sentience. Once they find you, they will charge over immediately."

"No, you can't be serious?"

Saitama had a panicked look on his face. "This is bad, you should run..." With so many mosquitoes, I can't handle them either!

"Heh heh heh!"

Before Saitama and Genos could make a move, Mosquito Girl's evil laughter suddenly came from within the black storm. Immediately after, the black storm formed by the mosquitoes turned into a torrent, rushing towards Saitama and Genos.

Buzz!

In an instant, the swarm of mosquitoes submerged the two like a monstrous wave. Looking down from the sky, the entire street was a black torrent, densely packed with nothing but mosquitoes. There was no sign of Genos or Saitama anywhere.

Rumble, rumble!

It had to be said, the mosquito army's assault was very powerful. The surrounding buildings collapsed one after another under their charge, letting out an explosive sound like muffled thunder.

"Incinerate!"

Amidst the chaotic sounds of collapsing houses, a cool, clear voice was faintly mixed in.

Rumble, rumble!

A fiery red light suddenly flashed within the black torrent formed by the mosquito swarm. It expanded layer by layer, and finally, the fiery light covered the entire black torrent. The black torrent transformed into red molten lava. Flames erupted, as violent as a volcanic eruption. Everything within a radius of several hundred meters was incinerated to nothing by the raging flames.

A cool breeze blew past, scattering the smoke and ash.

Genos's remaining right arm maintained the posture of firing the Incineration Cannon. He stared at Mosquito Girl in the sky, his calm tone laced with a hint of mockery. "I saw that you could speak human language and thought your intelligence was on par with humans. I never expected that insects are, after all, just insects, gathering so many mosquitoes just to make it convenient for me to incinerate them."

He lowered his arm and said flatly, "When I found you, I confirmed that there were no living creatures within a five-hundred-meter radius. This way, I can fight to my heart's content and unleash my Incineration Cannon without any reservations to quickly eliminate you. Huh? Wait a minute."

His heart skipped a beat as he suddenly remembered that a person had inexplicably run out just now—that eye-catching bald head. His expression changed slightly. "Crap, I was careless. I've unintentionally killed someone."

"Phew, I'm saved!"

Just as he was filled with regret, a relieved voice drifted from behind him.

"Huh?"

He turned his head in shock to look at Saitama. He actually... survived my large-scale Incineration Cannon? Impossible, right?

Saitama showed a harmless smile and looked at Genos with curiosity. "You're really amazing! What was that move just now? Could it be a real mosquito coil flash? Haha, just kidding. Don't mind me."

Genos stared incredulously at the stark naked Saitama, unsure if he was more shocked by how Saitama had survived his Incineration Cannon, or by the size of Saitama's little brother.

Saitama stood completely naked before Genos, yet he didn't feel the slightest bit of embarrassment, as if wearing clothes and not wearing clothes were the same to him.

At this moment, his mind was on the Incineration Cannon Genos had just used. He muttered to himself, "If I also had a move like that, then dealing with mosquitoes in the future wouldn't be so troublesome. I'm so envious that he has a great mosquito-exterminating move!"
