Raven sat by the river and called out, "System, give me the reward."
[Ding! Reward granted!]
[Do you want to unlock the character now?]
Without hesitation, Raven tapped "Yes."
A blue light instantly appeared in front of him before shooting into the sky.
Raven looked up, following the light with a curious expression.
"Where did that light go, system?" he asked.
"[To Melissa.]"
"Oh? Does that mean she's your chosen one now?"
"[Correct.]"
[Ding! An SSS-rated target has been locked on! Conquer Melissa and the other soul within her to earn an extraordinary reward!]
Raven's body trembled when he saw the SSS rating.
This was the first time he had ever seen an SSS rating in person. But the next second, confusion filled his mind.
"System, I have a question."
"[Go ahead.]"
"Since you chose her as a woman with an SSS rating, why didn't you do that from the start?"
Claire, Reyna, and Rose had all been chosen directly by the system, yet their ratings were lower than Melissa's.
