Chapter 1 - 0 - Dead

Floating in the middle of a gray sky, there were some silhouettes, each one of them had an imponent aura. Just by looking at them, one could feel the pressure caused by the tension between them. Those people, without prior notice, started a fiery battle.

They started the attack, casting giant fireballs, sparkling lightnings and countless blades of wind. Just by looking at that battle, one could feel that was a savage magical combat with no allies or enemies, but all the magical attacks were lauched to only one person, who did not have the chance to do something but trying to protect himself.

The Magus knew that he couldn't stand being under attack for long time. He had to do something to save himself... But, was even a chance that he could do something agains that myriad of spells falling over him? He barely had enough time to think, but actually doing something was a different story.

When that group of spellcaster soften their offensive, he saw the opportunity to get out and began to cast his own spells to start with the couterattack... But, they were expecting this. As soon as the Magus was preparing the enchantment required, two shapes ''appeared'' behind him.

The Magus felt a cold sweat running down his back, and following this uncomfortable sweat, he felt an extremely painful electric shock that paralyzed his body and disoriented his mind. One of the aggressors took advantage of this and toss himself towards the Magus in order to land a critical blow.

The Magus, felt something tearing through his back just to make its way out of his chest, he was still under the effects of the shock so at the beginning he only felt numbness in his upper body and the warm sensation of the blood flowing.

In a desesperate try for saving himself, he grabbed with both hands the object that just pierced his body, but it was a worthless try. His mind was now starting to feel numb and an excruciating pain burst into his whole body.

The one that had impaled him, leaned forward and whispered something into the ear of the agonizing Magus, but he couldn't hear that, his conscius was already fading away and his senses were already replaced by the pain, so he couldn't think clearly anymore.

That person just threw the Magus on to the ground. After hitting the ground, the Magus saw, with blurry eyes, how all these people were making fun of him and showing hostile smiles.

With nothing to do but fighting against the burning pain, the Magus just saw how the silhouettes, still in the air, were preparing the enchantments for their ultimate spells, and with no strength to stay awake, the Magus closed his eyes, and by the time they were closed: a thought crossed his mind.

''I'm already dead...''
