Chapter 1 - Prologue [Origin - 1]

30th April 2021.

Our Story starts On 30th April 2021, when the worldwide launch of the infamous food company 'Heavens' was announced.

Heaven's group of restaurants were launched in very few selected nations and was to be inaugurated by the country's most influential person. Either the Prime Minister or The President.

Like every other Inauguration scheme, passes were released.

Only 10 entry passes were sent out for each selected country, STRANGE!. But the strangest thing out of them all was that the passes were not up for sale.

That's right. The Passes were not available in the market or anywhere!. Instead...

The only way to get the pass was to be...fortuitous!! or simply as the 'Heaven's group of restaurants' proclaimed, you had to be the 'CHOSEN ONE'.

.....

A huge crowd gawked at the news playing on the 72 inches LED TV set up for display on the TV store stand.

"The pass might be between books, or under someone's bed. Between rocks or in the gutter. Or it might be in the claw machine or....."

"What's this thing doing here in this trash?"

Leyon pulled a plastic-wrapped paper from the dump beside the gully. He was on his way to his dwelling when he discovered the sheet jutting out of the dumpster.

"You have been invited to Visit THE HEAVEN"

His eyes read the fragments and then strayed from the piece of manuscript to the dump in thought for a moment.

"Eh? isn't this the pass for that restaurant people are going mad for?"

*TICK TICK TICK*

(CLOCK EFFECTS)

29th April 2021.

Municipal School

Mahatma Gandhi Road.

Time:12.30 pm

The bright glaring sun was right on top of Leyon's head as he walked on the burning pavement. He had a book covering his face from the sun and he logged a slim bag behind his back.

It was suddenly declared a holiday in his Municipal school run by the Government because of the recent riots which took place in Mumbai. Political parties were having a clash as the election date neared.

He thanked God for the tree shade which he gladly received as he took a sharp right turn from the Mahatma Gandhi Road Junction.

He pushed against the tree, gasped, and let out a tired sigh. He slumped down the tree with his back against it.

The summer heat in Mumbai was deadly specifically for people like him, who lived in slums and had to stroll kilometers to school for studies, and trees for him were lifesavers.

...

Leyon Meishin was an Orphan. His name was a surprise for people as he lived in Dharavi (Mumbai, India) the largest slum in Asia. His name was just ... to put it plainly, it felt out of place.

His only family, his 'brother' as Leyon called him was a part-time worker in a Mechanic shop. His name was Raval Basi.

Raval has been taking care of Leyon since the beginning, in a sense, He had become Leyon's Father and his Mother as well.

Leyon's thoughts took hold of the lingering memories of an unimaginable tale Raval had divulged as he relaxed under the serene, tranquil shadow of the tree.

THE ORIGIN OF LEYON MEISHIN.

...

It was on a Chilly, Rainy Night that Raval who was 8 and his sleeping parents heard a desperate knock on their creaking tin sheet door.

His parents woke up with a jolt. It was his mother who took the first step towards the switchboard on the 'Kacha' wall and switched on their small yellow light bulb.

They looked at each other and then at the clock, which pointed at 1 in the midnight. The rain kept on dancing on their tin makeshift roof, generating irksome cacophonies during its midnight waltz on the roof.

Raval's dad was the first one to step up and open the tin Door. It was pitch black outside, their apertures took an eternity to adjust to the darkness due to the gloomy yellow light.

Lightning struck someplace above them, lighting up the darkness outside at the same time short-circuiting the light bulb inside.

*FLASH*

*PHISHH*

*SHORT CIRCUIT*

*SLASH AND SLIT*

All they saw in that short flash of lightning and darkness was an embodiment of steel as blood rained on Raval's face. A faint thud echoed in the hollow room following a swiveling sound.

The second flicker of lightning was heeded by the deafening howl of his mother beside him. It wasn't late that Raval himself saw the gruesome sight unfold in front of his eyes.

It was...his...his dad's...his dad's blank face.

It reflected as his head lay stationary beside his shanks.

Raval took a step back, his eyes broad and mouth agape. His legs dribbled on blood and he jumped onward in reflex. His dad's body plopped wirelessly on the floor as he whirled.

It was dark again.

Raval yelled for his mom but shut up as soon as he gawked at the door.

A dark shadow was towering at the door, the face not clear but the stature brought clearance that it was not mortal.

Abruptly Raval got yanked back into the darkness by a couple of hands. The hands were soft, but his mom's hands would have never felt like that.

It wasn't his mom.

The figure which clutched him passed something to him and positioned it on his lap.

The clouds rumbled again and the lightning flashed a third time.

Raval's eyes teared and his heart fell when he saw his mom...dead on the floor. Her blood slowly carving its route to his father's detached head.

The item on his lap shook vigorously. A sound piercing cry wailed as Ravel's eyes fixed themselves on a baby, a baby boy with golden blonde hair. It was wailing but the noise soon muffled. Something covered his whole body, it was a veil!!.

Another lightning glare caught his awareness as he gazed at a woman who was standing in front of the tin portico. She glanced at him and smiled sympathetically.

"I am sorry for your loss...But please look after him...his name is Leyon Meishin...Believe me..my son will look after you when he grows up."

The woman whimpered while taking a step out. The lightning and thunder strengthened and her face shined under the immense lightning, rendering her idiosyncrasies more evident.

Her hair was golden and it reached barely below her shoulders. Her surface was pale. She was donning a black rider's jacket and pants.

The other huge figure soared over her. The lightning renewed, flickering nonstop. It was a man, he had white shoulder-length hair as well as white facial hair with a trimmed beard. He was a giant.

The torso was naked and his polished abs reflected the lightning flashing on it. The Giant brandished a huge lightning bolt in his hand and shot a presumptuous glare at the woman directly in front of him.

Raval overheard the lady mumble something to the giant man. A breeze wafted and fiddled with her hair as she pulled something from her jacket.

It looked like a pen at first, But at the time when another huge lightning struck down ... the pen faded, and in its place stood a huge iron rod possessing the exact height as the woman. It twinkled gold inside the dingy house when the rod reflected the lightning.

She edged it to the giant man's chest.

"Zeus, I am warning you...This matter is between us.."

She halted and glimpsed at Raval and her baby in his hands. Her face was beautiful, and her details were foreign.

"There is no way you can prevent a real God!"
