Chapter 22 - That Was Awesome!

Alex's group closed their eyes as they got enveloped in light, and when they opened them, they were on a grassland, surrounded by plants they haven't seen before, and outside the grasslands is a forest with huge trees, easily toppling on the trees they were used too.

They continue to scan their surrounding, and when they saw no sign of human settlement, they checked the bags that Algaia gave them since she took the ones they prepared.

Besides the clothes and coins, there's another bag with a note beside it; 'this is a Food Storage, it prevents food from spoiling when placed inside it.' And clearly enough, there are raw meat inside as well as some vegetables and greens, which made the group wanna threw up. There are also brown sleeping bags and mattresses and a map.

When they finished checking their respective bags, they looked towards each other, "Now what?" Charlotte asked.

"We explore, obviously," Kristin answered and she received the group's nods.

Although scared, they were exited to explore this forest with huge trees. They took out a map from Kristin's bag and used the Earth method of finding north by using a stick's shadow and waiting five minutes.

And soon enough, the sun moved the shadow a few inches from it's original position and used it as a guide. They walked east hoping to find human settlement before nightfall.

They marveled at the sight around them as they walk, although it was the middle of the day, there were fireflies flying here and there, giving such a mystical effect to the surroundings.

They were talking about the memories the received from Estela's group, and the currently accessible memories are particularly all the same; five people giving an anxious Estela magic and memories, the same goes for the other's, except for the perception of who's seeing what.

"Hey can we take a break? We've been walking for 2 hours non-stop," Joana complained.

"Yea, I'm starting to get tired too," Charlotte said backing up Joana.

"Ok, we'll take a break, but let's walk a little farther, I'm hearing running water nearby," Kristin explained while pointing north from where they are currently.

They walked for another 10 minutes and sure enough, there's a wide river, the river is at least 7 meters wide and stretches farther down than they can see. "Ok we'll take a one hour break and then move on, while doing so, we can figure out what kind of abilities they gave us," Kristin said as she sat down, putting down the bag she's been carrying.

The other's follow suit and got their selves comfortable and started talking about what they think they could do.

"Hey do you think I can throw a fireball now?" Elijah asked as he has an extended arm, facing the river as he was trying to summon a fireball. But instead of a fireball, a bolt lightning came fort and struck the surface of the river. "Wow that was awesome! Buuuut I wish I know how I did that," Elijah was so amazed by what he just did and when he looked at his hand there wasn't a single burn mark.

"Ok so Elijah can somehow summon lightning literally with the tip of his finger," Alex commented, "Ok who's next?"

"Ooh me me!" Joana exclaim excitedly and raise her hand towards the river, she closed her eyes and focused based on what she saw on the crystal ball, but nothing happened, or so she thought.
