"Hey Joana, open you eyes," Alex tapped on her shoulder, and when she opened her eyes and a strong light was shinning from her palm, she looked at it curiously and made a risky move of pointing the light towards her face, but as she did so, she felt strength enter her body.
Base on what she's feeling, she then redirected her palm to her friends, they tried to blocked it thinking it was an attack, but when it hit them, they also felt strength coming out of nowhere, but just seconds of shinning the light towards the others, the light snapped out and she fell to the ground.
Because it happened so quickly, the others didn't have enough time to catch her fall so she hit the gravel feeling so weak, which felt weird for her because moments ago she felt like she could jump over a mountain with ease and now she's down to ground without any strength left.
Charlotte quickly checked on her and only after they were certain she wasn't in any danger did they only sigh of relief, they took out the mattress from her bag and lay her down gently.
Alex was in a daze, his holding his chin and he seems to be thinking about something. Only when Kristin tapped on his shoulder did he come out of his reverie, "What were you thinking? You looked like you figure out something," Kristin asked.
"I was just thinking why did she felt so suddenly weak," Alex said unconsciously.
Before Kristin could answer, Elijah jump in saying, "Well obviously different spells requires different amounts of mana and the one that Joana probably used too much of her reserves."
The others nodded in acknowledgement and waited for 20 minutes in silence until Joana to wake up, but while doing so, the other's tried their own magic.
When Kristin did it, she actually summoned a fireball which died when it touch the river, she tried another one and focus on a different element, this time, she think back on how she punched and a gust of wind came out.
When she tried it again, the gust of wind is stronger, a lot stronger, it flew towards the other shore and it knocked a tree down before stopping. Might I remind you that these trees are a lot bigger than Earth's. The trees are 3 times wider and twice the height of trees on Earth, and to be able to knock it down with just air signifies how much power Kristin released.
When the tree landed on the ground, it kicked up a ton of dust and debris in the air and made a deafening noise, it even temporarily disrupted the flow of the river. Kristin was shocked beyond belief on what she just did, and she didn't even feel tired or fatigue at all.
And the shockwave seemed to have waken up Joana as she jolted, sitting upright with heavy panting, "What happened?" She asked.
"You were knocked unconscious, Elijah said that you depleted your mana and that's probably why you fainted," Alex explained calmly while handing her a water pouch, which Joana refused politely.
"What was that explosion just now?" Joana asked looking around.
"Kristin knocked a whole tree down with just a punch! How cool was that!" Elijah exclaimed while pointing at the other shore.
Joana looked at the other shore and was surprised that a huge tree is knocked down, and even much more unbelievable that Kristin knocked it down with just a punch.
