Others just couldn't grasp his emotions and reasoning. Before they could say something, Arjun opened his mouth, "I can understand what you mean, buddy, and I have a perfect idea that will not only give us a very strong backer but also will make you a national hero."
Everyone looked in his direction. Lucy asked, "Really, and who is it?" Arjun nodded and said, "See, first of all, you don't want a backer from a private background. Also, you want someone from this nation who gives priority to the people's interest. And it would have to be someone who has a wide range of authority and influence, and the last thing is that backer should be strong enough to handle foreign pressures, right?"
Everyone nodded as he perfectly stated all the requirements that Karna needed. Seeing the eagerness in their eyes to know the answer, he didn't waste their time and said, "Then there is only one backer which I could think of who satisfies all the checkboxes, and that is GOI."
"You mean to say the Government of India?" Shekhar said. Arjun nodded as he started explaining why he chose this option. "See, if we get the GOI's support, then no one in the entire Indian market can harm us as the government will be behind us. Also, whose company has more influence than the government? No one. Also, no foreign government and companies would dare to harm us in any way. This is the perfect backer, Karna. We can take the help of GOI, which will help our nation, as well as the people will trust us more."
After listening to his view, everyone nodded, and then Vishwas said, "That's perfect. I am one hundred percent sure that once they see the immense future possibilities of this technology, they will jump to support us. And the cherry on top is if we make the government have stakes in our company, then the nation would get the benefit out of it. What do you think, Karna? As for me, I am in support of Arjun's decision."
"Brat, I think I too am in support of Arjun Brat's decision, because the current government is opportunistic, so they will support us to increase their vote bank," Shekhar said.
"Yes, I think that is a very nice idea." One by one, everyone agreed. Now only Karna remained to say something. He thought for a few minutes and said, "Well, how can I say no to such a great idea? Let's give 20% stakes of our company to them. What do you guys say? I will hold 25% and Arjun 15%. All old bags will have 20% combined, 4% each, and 20% to the government, and we will keep 20% for the public issue."
"I am okay with it. Even if you give us 1%, we will accept it with generosity, as after all, brat, with this technology, you will not need our funds as billions of investors would be begging at your door to invest," Shekhar said with a small laugh. Shivam, Rekha, Lucy, and Vishwas also joined him.
Arjun also nodded as he could see the future that this company held. It would become a trillion-dollar company, so having even a 1% share was equivalent to having billions of profits. But he was not the one who accepted the reward for free. He looked at Karna and said, "Buddy, are you sure you want to give me 15% of the stakes? I had done nothing in making that technology."
Karna knew this behavior of his buddy, so he said, "Bro, it's not about how much contribution you made to this technology; it's about the contribution you have made to this company. Everyone knows I cannot run that studio without your help. If I am the heart of this company, then you are the brain. And also, I am giving you this much share because of the future contribution that you would make to this company. Same goes for you all old bags; when I had nothing, you all had supported me. Now it's my chance to do so."
"So, let me help you to arrange the meeting with the government officials. I am sure they would have got the information from the patent that you had just gotten, and also, I am sure that we will receive the official summon from them in one or two days," Shekhar said, and with that, everyone nodded.
Karna then stood up and placed his hands forward and said, "Let's make a game that will be forever etched into the history of this world and the first company to become a trillion-dollar company. To Maya!"
Others also smiled and nodded, and they put their hands on Karna's hands. With one united shout, they raised it and said, "To Maya!"
Somewhere in the Capital of India, Delhi
Inside a room, a man could be seen seated on a chair. In front of him was a table on which a file was placed with the word "Maya" written on it in bold letters. The man looked like a middle-aged guy; he had brown-colored skin and a long and thick mustache. He was wearing a formal suit and was currently in deep thinking.
Suddenly, the door of the room opened, and a lady with a fair complexion entered. She had neatly tied black hair, black eyes, a fit and healthy body with a correct figure. She was wearing a completely black suit and had a tablet in her hand. She looked at the middle-aged man and then gave a formal salute.
"Jai Hind, sir," the middle-aged man looked in her direction and said, "Jai Hind. So, what's the report, Officer Shruti?"
"Sir, their background is completely clean. Their company has followed all the rules and is not involved in a single malpractice. The company owner, Mr. Karna, has a clean background, including Mr. Arjun and other investors," she said while looking at the tablet.
"Hmm, so from what I heard, the Maya studio is facing quite a loss. They have only given one to two successful gaming projects, and also the company owner, Mr. Karna, is as average as one could get. So how on Earth did an average guy like him develop such an intricate technology?" he asked to himself as well as to the officer.
She then says, "Sir, from the school and university record, he is indeed an average guy, but who knows, he may be a genius but realized his capabilities late."
The middle-aged man got a frown on his face, and a look of disappointment flashed on his face. "Officer Shruti, you are a member of an intelligence bureau, and a member of such a pristine intelligence agency we should always talk with proof and facts. Next time, I won't tolerate this behavior. There are some secrets that he is hiding from us, but as you said, his background is clean, even his family background is clean, so it is safe to say that he does not want to harm this nation. The request of letting the government invest in this company is proof that he is genuine, so we will not harm him."
"Sorry for my behavior, sir, but does that mean that we will support him and not apprehend him and get out those secrets?" she asked.
"Yes, the best decision in this case is to let him flourish. His intentions are pure, and using force will harm our nation. But let's not forget, we will eliminate him if he tries to harm this nation. You may leave and also send the file to the Prime Minister with my letter and reports. The decision is for him to take," the middle-aged man said, and by giving the last salute, Shruti left.
The man looked at the file and said in a low tone, "I am taking a risk, Mr. Karna. Please don't let me down, and I am looking forward to seeing the changes that you will bring to this world."
[The Next Day]
Unaware of being safe from the biggest problem that he and his company could have faced, Karna and his teammates were preparing themselves to meet the government officials. They were invited by the government to show them a live demo of his project. This was done in secrecy where only he and Arjun, along with another important government official, would be present.
This was done so that after seeing with their own eyes, the government would decide whether to make this company a national company or not to invest in it. The meeting was done in so much secrecy that not even the closest rich businessman in India got to know anything about it.
Outside of a room, Karna and Arjun were standing while wearing nice black suits and ties. One could see the nervousness on their faces. Who would not be nervous, especially a man with a very average background? They were now going to meet the Prime Minister of India as they were told to present the demo in front of him, like a normal person meeting a king.
So naturally, they would be nervous. Officer Shruti, standing behind them, noticed their emotions and read their bodily actions, which again showed that they indeed had no ill intentions as they were behaving like a normal person would in this kind of situation.
She then said, "Relax, Mr. Karna and Arjun, the Prime Minister was already impressed by your technology when he heard about it, so now, he just wants to see the demo with his own eyes. So just be yourselves."
Both of them nodded after listening to her reasoning. Suddenly, Shruti received a message, "Let them in." "Yes, sir." She then looked at them and nodded. Getting the required permission, Karna put his hand on the doorknob and took a relaxing breath and murmured, "Let's write the first chapter of our golden history."
Arjun, who listened to his murmuring, said, "To Maya!" and he opened the door and entered inside.
