Chapter 299 - A Human Cannon

Writing 300 chapters really does something to you. First you feel good about yourself, then you get burnt out soon after. I have no plans on stopping ENTITY, but I am thinking whether I should continue the story after the end of the last pillar of canonical events in the main story. However, I am working on a new series that is named ENTITY: LEGENDS and will follow the events of the next volume, which I am currently drafting and trying to connect through the timeline. For this chapter. There will be no special for this milestone until Trila is completed, but enjoy this battle between Alex and Batania.

"You two have great potential! At this rate, the next generations will be able to triumph over the entity world with ease!" Sora praised Alex, listening intently, and Michael, who could care less about his praise. All he wanted to do was surpass Alex and show who was the most powerful.

"Why are you praising us?" Alex asked. "I can't even control my firepower, it only spans across my hands and not my legs like Gerald's!"

"Stop comparing yourself to other people!" Michael screamed. "Wait… I can't say anything." he thought to himself.

Back in the present, Batania continues to soar across the Turian Valley as she scouted the area for any enemies while watching the turmoil that unfolded on the rooftop of the fortress. Down below from the trees came a ray of fire that she narrowly missed as she continued to take the shortest route to the fortress. "There's an enemy," she thought to herself, stopping in the air for a second. Less than a second later, another ray of fire flew out of the endless shroud of trees, hitting her directly on the head and exploding upon impact.

Without saying a word, Alex revealed himself to Batania by climbing up the tree with his flaming palms. "I'll make sure you don't get to the castle anytime soon," he whispered.

Volume 11, Chapter 29 - A Human Cannon

"A sudden explosion has sounded from the forest!" a news anchor, hovering over the chaotic land of Turia announced to the people on the mainland. "Has the Bandit Of Liberation finally returned to liberate us!?"

Even though Team ENTITY was known worldwide for what they did, nobody except a few people in the entire country of Trila knew that they were the ones doing the work, trying to assist a land in trouble. In fact, most of them thought that they were only revolving around the fact to hunt entities and not help anyone in the process - the complete opposite of what their goals were.

Back in the sky, Kevin continued to push Uma to another location where he could prevent any more deadly damage now that Saharos had been unleashed on the roof of the fortress. Seconds later, he felt sores in all of his body that seemed to never go away - causing him to drop Uma by the shore of the island. He then fell onto the ground, trying to relieve himself of the pain that lingered inside him. "You're already giving up!?" Uma screamed, feeling disrespected. "You'll never be able to cure this wretched world!" he continued. "I'll make sure to hang your body after you're dead on the beach and put you in your place!"

Kevin heard his bold claims, but could not respond due to the indescribable pain in his body. Was it a symptom of Power Surge, or was it something that Uma did that caused him to roll on the floor in pain?

Uma stepped up to Kevin, who he loomed over while grinning happily. "You're just like the guy that I fought for this country, but something else inside you keeps luring me in… an ancient power like NULL that I have to take for myself…"

Right before Kevin was impaled with Uma's sharp, superhuman hand, he disappeared completely from the face of the beach. Uma looked at the massive hole caused by his hand in the sand, shocked at his sudden disappearance. "I see," he said. "Now that he's gone, I'll be sure to kill those two that he snuck onto my domain with!"

He transformed back into the Half-Entity, slowly hovering over the forest and flying back to the fortress where the battle between Champion, Itama, and Saharos was still raging on.

Meanwhile, Batania continued to fly away at a fast pace from Alex, who was slowly closing in on her with his firepower. "You won't catch up!" she desperately screamed, nearly stabbing Alex with her wings. "I'm waiting for you to come and fight me!" he claimed, grabbing her head with his left hand and exerting her back into the forest with the force of his fire. Landing perfectly back in the forest beside her, the two bashed heads with all their strength. They pushed off of each other, Batania grabbing Alex's wrist and flying up to the sky with him as a hostage. "This fight is about to end!" she claimed. She looked down at Alex, who was gone shortly after.

He was in the sky as well, his eyes focused on her wings. "Those things generate extreme windpower - looks like I'll have to make her use them to my advantage!"

He threw an orb of fire at her, which she blew away with her wind a second later. "You thought that would be enough to beat me!? Damn, you must really hate women!"

She drew her wings another time, the wind blowing Alex out of the sky before he shortly regained balance. "I'm going to need to make a stronger fire - something that won't blow away!" he thought. "Something that'll be similar to Embertalia!" he self-encouraged. Focused on the fight once again, he looked up to the sky in Batania's direction. "I'll make sure this hit ends the entire fight! I am a human cannon!"

In another part of the forest, Namu, on the ground bleeding, held Michael tight in his arms. On the opposite side was Cookie, whose body was slowly decaying. She had been defeated - defeated to such a wide extent that it could be considered torture. What had happened on the battlefield in the past 10 minutes that caused this fight to take such a shocking turn?

Back on the rooftop of the fortress, both Champion and Itama watched in horror as their enemy continued to grow in power. "I have… to get her out of this hellish land," Champion muttered, cuts on every part of his arms. "Anything that doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and I'll be the strongest to save my daughter!"

"Don't go overboard with your power," Itama advised. "One wrong move could completely jeopardize this fight!"

Saharos roared once again, the power of the wind blowing more pieces off of the roof. "I'm not going to lose my temper," Champion snapped back. "Let's both attack with our full power, we'll be able to see how Saharos reacts to attacks completely. Of course, if we can't defeat him, we're going to have to find a way to seal him."

Itama lightly strung his left hand across his blade. "Alright, let's do this," he replied.

Champion dashed across the roof with his power, his face colliding with his enemy. Itama, wielding both swords in each of his hands, followed promptly as they both screamed in need of more power. Saharos roared once again, spitting out a gigantic ball of quicksand that both of them narrowly dodged. "Let's do this before he immobilizes one of us!"

"Right!" Champion responded. He united both of his hands in front of him, creating a barrier of lightning that could be used for both offense and defense.

"Everlasting Vortex!" they both screamed, colliding with Saharos. The attack flung him across the roof, but he quickly countered with another pile of quicksand that nearly hit Champion.

"I'll deal with him!" he retaliated, creating the barrier once again and rushing straight to Saharos.

"What the hell are you doing!?" responded Itama. "You won't be able to beat him if you take him on in close combat!"

However, Champion continued to swiftly dodge the barrage of sand being thrown at him, creating lightning out of his left hand. "WATCH OUT, CHAMPION!" Itama exclaimed, pointing out the gigantic rock that was flying right towards him. He quickly kicked the rock into pieces, using one of them as a starting point in midair. He then continued his dash, but was blocked by a shield of sand.

"I already failed to protect my daughter once, and I'm not going to fail again!" he screamed, breaking right through the gigantic barrier of sand. The voltage of his lightning rapidly multiplied. "1 billion volts!" he screamed, a glowing orb based by lightning in his left hand. After colliding with Saharos, the force of his attack knocked him off the roof, but he was able to use the force of his lightning to prop himself back up. As he looked at Saharos, he noticed that its body was slowly breaking down due to the force of attacks. "Itama!" he screamed.

In the five seconds Saharos was caught off guard, Itama used Champion's distraction to cut through its flesh. "If you land an attack as indestructible as that, we'll win this fight for sure!" Itama shouted.

"I got it!" Champion replied. "This attack is for Paria!" he screamed. "100 billion volts - SCATTER!" he screamed, piercing right through the wound Itama had formed on Saharos' body, and had gravely worsened following Champion's attack. In the blink of an eye, Saharos fell on the battlefield, unconscious.
