we kept running untill we all were exhausted, that was when we heard growls behind us.
" Look there is a path, but this path may be a lot dangerous than the place we are right now " Charles said.
" Are we going to be safe for a while?" I asked.
" I think so " he replied.
That was my cue, as I started running into a pathway I know nothing about. To be honest, when you feel you can escape death, you'll then have no time to think.
We ran until we got to a sign that was read " BELEVELT HILLS ".
" Wait, the sign says belevelt hills " I said while panting.
" If you're thinking about where your fellow war folks were massacred, we're a bit distant from it " Laura answered.
" We're here " Charles said.
We all stopped sweating and trying to catch our breath.
" So is this how you guys migrate all the time?" I asked.
" Not all the time but, most times. Being here we found out or Should I say he found out these blindspots where we can at least find refuge " Charles answered.
" How the hell can I get out of here?"
" Well, if you'd like I can give you my compass, the rest you figure out yourself " Laura replied which got me a lot angry.
" Are you always this rude?" I shouted at her.
" Chill dude ".
" Well if you're going to take it that way " she answered without concern.
" Both of you stop this right now, we are in place where our survival chances are slim, and you guys dare argue about arrogance. This is not a place for us to stay the night, and as much as you guys are scared of dying so am I. So please keep your ideas of anger towards yourself out of my ears " Charles said angrily.
I kept still and quiet looking at the trees, and suddenly my anger turns to become an outburst of laughter. The winds blows through the trees giving us a good atmosphere of cool breeze.
" What's so funny?" Charles asked.
" I don't know either, I just feel a lot different than few seconds ago " I answered.
" Can you both keep shut for a moment?" Laura said.
As both of us kept quiet wondering what she meant.
" Do you hear that?" She asked.
" Hear what?" Charles replied.
" The sound of a machine, like a vehicle or something " she said.
" Now I see the reason he shouted angry at you. Indeed you act crazy sometimes."
* I sat meters from them watching as they both quarrel with each other, I wanted to speak out for both of them to keep it calm for a moment, and suddenly I heard a sound, just like what Laura said, it was like a sound of a vehicle and it looks like it was coming closer to us *
" Guys something's coming towards us " I yelled.
" What?" Laura asked.
* If I was been told that I'll see a moving vehicle in the woods of the west I'll never believe, but here we stood looking closely at a truck *
" What are you people doing out here without weapons or troops " a man looking like he is in his late fourtys spoke aloud.
" Get in before they come crowding us " another younger kids about our age screamed from the rear.
* Even if they were strangers, we had no choice we needed safety. It's better to be safer for once and for all than to be migrating in a wretched place as this. We three hurriedly hopped behind as the truck drove off fast *
" What are your names?" A female voice from inside truck asked making all three of us startled.
" My name is ava, and I'll like to know yours " she added.
" Well, I'm Laura Greyhound, this is Charles Vaughn, and he is....." Laura said looking at me gesturing me to reply.
* That was when it dawned on me that they both do not have a clue what my name was *
" Wilson dariket " I replied.
" Nice to meet you all " ava said as she brought out two guns and handed it over to Charles and Laura.
" If you are going to ride with us, you have to fight with us, besides you are in warmen uniforms " the younger kid said to us as he took position beside me.
" Am I not getting a weapon?" I asked.
* Before anyone had a inch of what was going on, a herd of viggon monsters were launched towards us *
" Holy shit " Charles yelled.
* Laura and the two other people started shooting at them while Charles kept screaming *
" If you are not going to shoot back then give me the gun " I shouted at charles who quickly gave me the gun and kept his head down.
* The more we kill the more they enforce. We were just wasting valuable armour on monsters stronger than them.*
" Beside you " Laura said to the guy.
* They were no longer coming from behind us, they are now everywhere *
" What do we do?" Charles asked while in panic.
" We fight till the end " the mysterious dude said as he was shooting them down with a lot of calmness, he wasn't having any change in his facial expression, how cold.
* I was still shooting when I noticed dead bodies lying around the woods, then it brought to me clearity....this is belevelt hills. We kept shooting at them, and when we thought it couldn't get any worse *
" Holy shit, what are those?" I asked.
" Yusef, step on the gas. We have incoming air beasts " the dude yelled.
" You guys may want to hold on something " the man called yusef shouted.
" Hold on to what we are at the back of a truck " Charles shouted back.
* The truck suddenly added it's acceleration, boosting us ahead if the bigger land viggon.*
Out of total curiosity i asked.
" How do we evade the flying beasts as you called them?"
" Wait and see " the girl answered.
* When the air viggons are a bit closer to us, they started shooting out some kind of pins but like a pen size but so sharp that it pierced through the iron truck *
" Steady....steady....steady " the guy kept saying those words.
" What the hell are we keeping steady for, when we are about to die " Laura screamed.
" Now " the guy shouted.
* Everywhere became bright so bright that I had to shield my eyes. When the brightness subsided, the flying creatures were dead on the ground *
" What just happened?" Charles asked.
" A miracle " yusef the driver answered laughing, making me think what was so funny.
" One of the many wonders of the west pal, even cannot explain but all we do know is that a moving company in a metallic vehicle doesn't get affected " the guy said smiling.

" One last check before reaching out destination, was anyone hit by their thorns " Ava asked.
That was when we noticed Charles bleeding.
" Yusef get us back to the bunker really quick, or we might loose this guy " Bryce said.
* Charles was hit by the rib, and he was loosing consciousness really fast, but even if Charles was in pain another thing came to my mind, they have a bunker, so we are saved *
