Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 Learning

*Timeskip 3 weeks* [Amil's POV]

I've learned a lot in these past few weeks. I've visited places that I had yet to see before. Or more like, actually experience before. After all, I was only a separate group of Hypostasis until now, so I couldn't really "experience" life as it was.

Frankly enough, I ended up retaining all of the memories of those 7 elemental life Forms. Every adventurer who came to slay me, every passing moment where I, or we, would just sit quietly until someone disturbed us. I also retained all of their abilities as well. Which means that all of the 7 elements of this world are now at my disposal. Although, even I can understand the repercussions of one person using all 7 elements without some outside factor.

I also discovered this world was more vast than I could've ever imagined. I took my time basking in the sights and scenery as well as the sounds, smells, texture, and sensations. I should also mention that I encountered my first life form 2 weeks before now. One of the most basic life forms in my opinion. Elemental slimes.

Anemo to be precise and it was a big one too, bigger than me. However despite its size, I was obviously much more formidable. A quick construction of solid Geo energy into a club-like form, followed up with a good swing forward (at the appropriate timing), and the Anemo slime went flying away, gone with the wind.

I had expected myself to win obviously, however I failed to realize just how strong I really was. This wasn't really an issue dealing with primitive life forms like Slimes. But for more intelligent ones, like humans, this poses a significant problem. Until I can understand the scope and limit of my strength, then learn how to control it, interacting with humans was going to be extremely tedious.

Hence I took the last couple of weeks fighting against primitive life forms like slimes, hilichurls, etc until I was confident in my control over my strength. It didn't actually take me almost 3 weeks to accomplish this feat, as I am, thankfully, a quick learner when it comes to situations like these. It took only less than half a week to get a good grasp on my strength, however that wasn't good enough for me. I knew that my strength wasn't the only physical attribute that was absurdly vast. So the other remaining weeks were spent on gaining control over my other physical aspects.

Then I ended up spending the last remaining days gathering information and, along with that, new understanding of certain things. For one, I am broke. Looking at me though, one would think otherwise. Surely someone in a white suite with a black dress shirt and tie would have more than enough money to keep themselves stable right? Not when you were literally born 3 week before now, which leads me to my current predicament. If I want to gather currency, then I'm going to have to make contact with humans.

Fortunately, this plan of mine isn't out reach at the moment. I spotted a group of humans camping nearby, 7 to be exact, so I made my way toward them. Once I got closer I introduced myself

"Hello, my name is Amil and I was wondering—"

I couldn't get my point across before all 7 of them jumped back with a start, their weapons glowing with elemental energy. I stared confused as to why they backed up so quickly, for I could not sense any danger in our immediate proximity. Unless…

"How did you find us," said one of the males in the group.

"I just found you all by chance. I wasn't particularly looking for you specifically." I conveyed with the utmost serenity. Unfortunately, my calm disposition seemed to make them more unsettled and weary.

"Like I'd believe that nonsense," one of them replied with spite and disbelief. "You must have been sent by one of those people!"

I stood there confused. Someone was after these people? What have they done?

"Someone is targeting you? Who, and what have you done to warrent their ire?" I asked.

"None of your business!" was their response. Then one of them stepped up and said "I don't care for the reason as to why you're here, you had the unfortunate luck of finding us, the Fatui, in our business. We can't allow anyone to disrupt our mission. Kill him now!" he said with valor.

I sigh in disappointment. This was not how I wanted to go about this, however I should've known that not all humans are reasonable and capable of thinking rationally instead of violently.

I take a moment to analyze my would-be assailants. 7 in total, 5 males, 2 of them had the upper level of their faces exposed. One had their entire body covered, topped off with a hood over their head and a mask all of which had red accents, definitely a Pyro user of some sort. The other one didn't have a jacket with a hood like the other, but did I fact have a mask that covered his face with one glowing yellow eye and a hat on top. The last male was by far the biggest one. His outfit was mostly a deep blue color. One would receive the image of water when looking at it, which makes me believe he can use the element of Hydro. The other 2 assailants were female, had a similar jacket with a hood over them like the red male. They both had a mask on their faces, outfits had purple highlights, and both had a purple lantern. Those 2 are Electro users.

After my analysis is complete, I then begin to battle my first humans.
