Chapter 33 - When Paths Cross Again

Thea's face softened with compassion. "Charlotte don't be disheartened," she said in a soothing tone. "There will be many more chances ahead, and when the time comes, we'll join the competition together."

Charlotte's lower lip jutting out in a pout. "But I was quite excited for this competition...to take part with you..." she whined,.

"In the future...We will surely take part together.." Thea said softly, her eyes locked on Charlotte's, a warm and encouraging smile spreading across her face.

After their class ended, both friends made their way through the campus grounds, strolling leisurely towards their respective houses.

As they approached the gate, Charlotte's chauffeur stood waiting, a black sedan parked beside him.

Charlotte turned to Thea,"Why don't you hop in? I'll give you a ride home."

Thea smiled sweetly and refused, "No thanks, Charlotte. I enjoy walking. It's not far from here."
