Chapter 180 - Initial Chaos (1)

With the vanishing of Tus Nadair, the continent realized something crucial… Damning… And absolutely horrible. They had all been taking advantage of Tus Nadair.

It was true that every nation had once been capable of handling every need of the people. To feed, house, clothe, and defend them from monsters, bandits, and other nations with wild ambitions. However, this ability had been limited for a long time now.

This was further strained by the fact they could barely keep everything stable. The balance of production and consumption was clear to anyone who'd received even a modicum of education. While everything was currently in a maintained balance, if any storm, or disease, or even just a loss in some way, the nation's supplies would dip below their demands.

Such an issue stems into numerous, more dangerous and substantial problems. Before, when such things happened, a powerful caster from Tus Nadair would be mobilized along with a sizable immediate aid…

For all intents and purposes, each nation, without a powerful magic caster or two, wouldn't last long without Tus Nadairian Aid. This was just the state of things. Nations like the Baharuth Empire had it easier, for in this nation there was a man by the name of Fluder, He was a powerful 3rd tier magic caster at the time, and with a few little tricks could pull off a boosted 4th tier… It wasn't a real one, just a 3rd tier with a higher mana drain. Either way he'd been heralded as their ace, exhibiting power above everyone else other than the heroes and dragon lords.

"Stop it with these titles. I just want to practice magic!"

"But sir, you're the best mage on the continent."

"You should know good and well, young man, that statement isn't even remotely true." Those power casters from Tus Nadair… I wonder if I'll ever get a chance to learn from them again. I desire to be a wise master of the chasm as well. But if I can't, I must find a way to earn their approval! I need time… Time pull this off, that's my goal. Immortality, like the true gods of the world; Dragon Lords, and her… The picture of the night, the serene and silver glow of the moon. Her glorious, and honored self, my lady, my goddess! NIGHT SILVER! "Though my path of magic is different from yours, you are my guiding light!"

The other man in the room sighed internally. Are all magic casters like this? Or is it just him?

…

Other nations like the Dragon Kingdom, Argland Council State, Elven Nation, and even the Slane Theocracy had a far easier time adapting to the changing times.

"Begin at once, no lazying about!" Tsa ordered, with a rare direct order to get things done. This will be the age of nations. Where power, and ability are directly determined in their population, technology, and mages. All will come in time, but population is the one thing we can not relent on increasing. Humans are much faster than dragons in population growth, but ultimately are still slow. But what's more, we need provisions to feed the population, and encourage population expansion. I hope this plan helps…

In another country, the Dragon Kingdom. "With everything already having been prepared, we're further ahead of the curve. But not too far that others would be suspicious. Though it seems like those powerful assailants from the east aren't making things easy on us."

"You're right, however, it matters little. So long as we follow the plan, everything will work out."

The Elven Nation had their own abilities, and even had an old Tus Nadairian underground sheltering city underneath their land. All of which came fully equipped with powerful magic circles, food storages, and even fields of endless fertility. However, it wasn't until the elves took over the control of these massive resources that they realized just how easy they had it.

"Wow, these fields grow year round. And can grow multiple different crops all at once, without any losses, illnesses, or the like? My goodness… I knew it was impressive, but this is amazing."

"My queen, even the grass fields for which the cows graze, automatically grows back within a day or two. And looking at the instructions here, each one of the fields will allow us to harvest about 2 cows every week."

"And how many of them are there?"

"Enough that our entire population could feed off of nothing but cows, for hundreds of years."

"It seems like Mother desired us to bring more of us into this wonderful world she helped shape, and mold to perfection. Let us be more prosperous."

The Slane Theocracy, another nation, whose foundations were crafted by Night Silver's hands. Even if they ultimately strayed away from her entirely, they still had a huge advantage over other nations. They were already huge, and already had the power to farm large swaths of land with little effort.

"Should we re-annex that small nation again?"

"No, that would be costly, and would pit us against other nations. For now we shouldn't do anything to draw too much attention. Let us begin with practicing patience, and wait for a request. We should have the ability to grant a few aid packages of our own now too."

"Good, then we'll let that place remain as it is. And do our best to foster good relations with all nations, as best we can."

"Well, we should initiate a few new policies for sure. And to start we should up production of food, citizens, and mages."

"Why mages? We already have the god-kin?"

"Is it smart to waste the time of someone as strong as the god-kin, with a task a regular mage should be able to handle? Even if the mage needs a few extra hands to get the job done, it's far less annoying than sending a god-kin every which way."

"I see. Then how about this… We form orders based around each of our gods. Not loose nit groups like before, but functioning units we can reliably lean on whenever we need?"

Six hands rose in favor.

…

A couple of other kingdoms were in a far worse condition… The Robel Holy Kingdom, & The Re-Estize Kingdom. All nations had their own struggles, but these two had it worse than everybody else…
