"What kind of world have I come to?" Jackson frowned but quickly calmed down. Sunlight from the outskirts of upside-down New York illuminated his handsome face, while the stream beside him reflected his tall figure.

Jackson was no ordinary person.

In his previous life, he had been one of the top psychologists and sociologists, earning various titles as a philosopher, writer, and more. These accolades were merely additional acknowledgments of his genius.

Generation Weekly once described him as:

"This is one of the most perfect geniuses in human history, and perhaps only a great man like Einstein can match him."

Feeling the cool early morning breeze in this Otherworldly Rice Country, Jackson knocked on his forehead. Even with an IQ of 170, there was no device capable of traveling through time and space that could return him to his original world.

Disjointed information kept bombarding his nerves, but Jackson forced himself to stay calm and analyze his surroundings.

Team America, Iron Man, Hawkeye... Mutants emerging all over the world... Daily murders in Gotham City...

If his theory was right, this world was a fusion of the Marvel and DC universes!

Based on the knowledge he'd gathered and the strange events unfolding worldwide, Jackson surmised that the Avengers had only just formed.

"Since there's no going back, I might as well make the most of it."

"By mutation or technology?"

Jackson stroked his chin thoughtfully, his mind racing. Becoming an ordinary person was never an option for him. His intelligence and extraordinary mental fortitude set him apart from the rest.

He had no doubt that he could survive in this world, and maybe—just maybe—he could obtain power on par with the Avengers through certain means. Of course, he would need time to prepare.

[Ding! System activated. Detecting the host's desires... Distributing rewards and tasks!]

[Congratulations, host, you've received a large package.]

[Mission: Destroy the Avengers' base.]

The sudden system prompt made Jackson's breath catch, but he neither panicked nor celebrated prematurely. Instead, the mission brought an exhilarating rush. His blood began to boil.

"Destroy the Avengers' base? How intriguing."

Jackson was thrilled. He had always thrived on challenges, both in his past life and now. The restless ambition simmering within him was eager to erupt. He even felt a bloodthirsty impulse, yet remained eerily calm and focused.

"At this moment, facing the Avengers head-on is suicide."

His eyes glinted with resolve, a fire sparking within. "Forget Dr. Banner turning into the Hulk—just Hawkeye would be enough of a handful."

Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk, Thor, and Hawkeye all possessed combat power far beyond his current capabilities. Engaging them directly would be like an ant challenging a giant.

Jackson was no fool. His strength didn't lie in overwhelming superpowers—at least, not yet.

"Let's open the package first. If I'm expected to blow up the world's most formidable base, you'd better give me something useful."

Jackson smirked.

As soon as the thought crossed his mind, the big gift package from the system was immediately opened.

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for receiving an intelligence enhancement: IQ +100!]

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for acquiring an initial ability: Go back in time.]

The two notifications flowed into Jackson's mind, accompanied by a surge of heat. He felt his thinking accelerate, and it seemed as if countless points of light were retreating rapidly in front of him.

Even problems he couldn't solve in his previous life suddenly became clear, unraveling themselves in an instant!

In both his past life and this world, the average IQ of ordinary people typically ranged between 80 and 130. A score between 130 and 140 represented the best of humanity, while anything over 140 was considered genius-level. Those with such innate talent excelled in a variety of fields, from scientific research to academia, and their memory and perception were several times—or even dozens of times—more advanced than the average person.

These geniuses, with their photographic memories, could be considered near-gods in the human world.

Now, Jackson's IQ had shot up by 100 points, bringing his total from an already impressive 170 to a staggering 270!

He could even feel a surge of spiritual energy emanating from his overdeveloped brain. Given some time, he might be able to unlock powers similar to those of Professor X!

Though that was still far off, for now.

In addition to the boost in brainpower, Jackson also gained a new ability—one called "Go back in time." However, this ability was limited to going back only three seconds.

Jackson experimented with it briefly. In those three seconds, he could make fallen leaves float again, retrace a few steps he had just taken, or return to a previous spot.

But beyond that, it didn't seem to have much practical use.

Especially when it came to blowing up the Avengers' base. This ability felt rather trivial.

Three seconds was more than enough time for Iron Man to kill him ten times over in close combat.

Still, Jackson wasn't too disappointed. After all, if Iron Man's strength came from his technological prowess, Banner's from mutation, Thor's from being a demigod, and Captain America's from the super-soldier serum, then Jackson was something different—a killer, armed with a mind that surpassed all others!

His power was his brain!

With a staggering IQ of 270, no challenge seemed insurmountable. In fact, dozens of ways to blow up the Avengers' base and make a clean escape were already racing through his mind.

This superior intellect was Jackson's greatest asset and his most formidable weapon in navigating this new world.

"Accept the mission!" Jackson's eyes gleamed with confidence.

[Mission Start: Host is tasked with destroying the Avengers' base.]

[Mission Reward: Host-specific equipment.]

Jackson was slightly taken aback. He hadn't expected the mission to come with a reward.

"Exclusive equipment?" He was intrigued. In this world, exclusive gear wasn't just a gimmick.

There were laws governing the operation of this universe, and fate had predetermined certain outcomes. Everyone had their unique destiny, their specific mission. Exclusive equipment was no different—it was something destined for a particular individual.

Like Captain America's shield, Thor's hammer, Doctor Strange's cloak...

Each was a special artifact imbued with extraordinary powers!

Jackson had a vague sense that once he acquired this equipment, he would finally have the strength to take on the Avengers head-to-head.
