Chapter 387 - Chapter 386: The Person Behind the Scenes

The purple poison gas poured out of his mouth like a stream! In an instant, it completely engulfed Torifu! It even showed signs of spreading over the crystal wall and seeping to the other side!

But Torifu was surrounded by a layer of cloud vapor, so the poison mist couldn't get close to him. However, if the poison were to spread over the crystal wall, it would be bad. This poison mist was a large-scale destructive ninjutsu. Amegakure's ninja were all wearing gas masks, so they were minimally affected. But Konoha's ninja had no protection whatsoever.

Torifu extended his right hand, and a pure white cloud sphere formed in his palm! Immediately, a massive suction enveloped the area! All the poison gas was quickly sucked into the cloud sphere! Even the mist that was about to cross the top of the wall was dragged back by the immense suction.

The giant salamander continued to spew poison gas. Seeing this, Torifu threw the cloud sphere at it! The cloud sphere spun and flew right into the salamander's mouth! The creature had no eyes and didn't know what it had swallowed. The moment the cloud sphere entered its mouth, it closed it shut!

Torifu clenched his right hand in the air, and the cloud sphere exploded with a boom. A blast of cold air spread from the salamander's mouth.

"Damn it, Ibuse! Are you okay!"

Hanzō immediately checked on the salamander's condition. He looked all over and found that it was fine. This giant lizard was thick-skinned. Its mouth was also full of mucus, so the cold air from the cloud release only froze the mucus. For a moment, it couldn't open its mouth, but it could still use taijutsu.

Ibuse was also enraged at this point. It furiously crawled out from underground, its giant tail lashing toward Torifu like a whip. Torifu leaped, successfully dodging the attack, and the giant tail whipped heavily against the crystal wall. The force was so great that even the sturdy crystal wall shook.

"This big guy certainly has some strength."

Hanzō scoffed. "Ibuse is the biggest salamander in the Land of Rain. It's the king of its species! If you underestimate it, you'll pay for it."

Hanzō clapped his hand on the salamander's body, and it angrily opened its mouth.

"Ibuse, show him what you can do."

Something was gathering in its huge mouth. When Torifu wanted to get a closer look, it suddenly spat out a sticky purple poison pellet! Torifu's pupils shrank, and he sidestepped, dodging the attack. The poison pellet landed on the ground and instantly exploded, creating a giant crater. The scattered poison was still corroding the ground, sizzling and releasing a pungent white smoke.

As expected of the salamander, its ability to use poison was astonishing. But Torifu wasn't afraid of any of this. He dashed forward and leaped in front of the salamander. It tried to condense more poison, but Torifu punched it, causing it to lose its balance. The poison pellet in its mouth was also broken up. If it hadn't been for the protection of its mucus, it would have been corroded by its own poison.

After being knocked down, the salamander tried to struggle to get up. Torifu didn't give it a chance. He stomped his foot, and a white beam of light shot out from under his foot, hitting the salamander directly. In an instant, it was frozen into a statue.

"It's ice! Damn it, what did you do to it!"

Torifu waved his hand. "It's too thick-skinned to be killed, so I just froze it. I suggest you worry about yourself. Do you have a hide as tough as his?"

Hanzō subconsciously swallowed, but he wasn't afraid. He violently threw his scythe and then quickly made hand signs. In an instant, countless water droplets condensed around them.

"Gather!"

With Hanzō's command, all the water droplets shot toward Torifu! If one were to treat them as ordinary raindrops, they wouldn't even leave a corpse behind. Each drop of water contained chakra, making them extremely hard and able to easily pierce a person's skull.

Torifu clapped his hands, and a white light spread from his body. All the water droplets it encountered were frozen into ice and fell to the ground.

"It's not that hard to understand that Ice Release is the bane of water, is it?"

Seeing his moves repeatedly nullified, Hanzō's anger reached its peak, but there was nothing he could do.

And just then, a roar came from two directions! The sound was deafening, coming from thousands of people.

Torifu smiled faintly at Hanzō. "It seems that reinforcements have arrived. You will soon be fighting a three-on-one battle. Aren't you going to call out the person behind you?"

Upon hearing Torifu's words, Hanzō's pupils contracted fiercely, then he burst into laughter. "As I expected, you got information about that person from one of my people."

"Was it extracted by force, or was it a bribe?"

Torifu shook his head. "Your subordinate was very tough. I only got the information after killing him. The abilities of the Yamanaka clan are self-explanatory, are they not?"

Hanzō was surprised by this, but it didn't matter. He was just a ninja. If he died, he died. Hanzō didn't care how he died. The fact that the information was revealed didn't matter, because it wouldn't change a thing.

Torifu heard Hanzō refer to her as "that person" and "sir," so it seemed this person was truly powerful if someone like Hanzō would defer to them.

"Hokage-sama! We aren't late, are we!"

While Torifu was in a standoff with Hanzō, two figures appeared on the wall.

"Of course not. I was just warming up with Hanzō. The real enemy hasn't come out yet."

The Kazekage and Tsuchikage smiled upon hearing this and then jumped down from the crystal wall.

"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Jutsu!"

A giant semi-transparent cube shot out from Onoki's hand! Hanzō had thought it was going to attack him. He was aware of the Dust Release's reputation, so he immediately rolled to the side. But in reality, Onoki's target wasn't him at all. It was the walls of Amegakure!

After a blinding flash of white light, a massive gap appeared in the wall. Through the gap, they could clearly see the inside of Amegakure. The streets were completely empty, like a ghost town. It was also possible that everyone had gone to the battlefield.

After rolling on the ground a couple of times, Hanzō realized he hadn't been attacked and was enraged. But there was nothing he could do. He couldn't even defeat Torifu, let alone three Kage-level ninja. This was not a situation he could handle.

"Hanzō, as I've already said, if you don't want to die so quickly, you should call out the person behind you."

To Torifu's surprise, Hanzō just laughed. "I admit you are very strong, much stronger than me. I don't even have the power to fight back against you. But you are about to feel the same way."
