Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: You Are the Accomplice of the Big Boss

The magnifying glass spoke smugly, "Han Feng, how was that? I didn't disappoint you, did I?"

Han Feng praised, "Well done, little mirror!"

The magnifying glass froze for a moment. "What did you just call me?"

"Of course, I called you little mirror. Is there a problem?" Han Feng raised an eyebrow.

The magnifying glass was furious and immediately corrected him. "My name is Big Mirror! You are not allowed to call me little mirror."

Han Feng rubbed his nose. "It's just a name. Why are you so fixated on it?"

The magnifying glass declared, "Let me put it this way—if you keep calling me little mirror, then I'll start calling you little cutie!"

Han Feng's face darkened instantly. "If you dare call me little cutie, I'll throw you into a latrine pit!"

The magnifying glass protested angrily, "You can call me little mirror, but I can't call you little cutie? Where's the fairness in that?"

Han Feng shot him a stern look, his presence alone exerting an intimidating force. "In my shelter, I am the law! What I say goes. You either accept it or you accept it. No other choice!"

The magnifying glass fell silent.

This guy was way too domineering!

Ignoring the argument, Han Feng placed the frying pan over the fire.

As the flames heated the pan, the water inside began to boil, and the clams inside started wailing.

"Brothers, it's over! He got the fire going!"

"Ahh… it's so hot! I'm about to be cooked alive! Someone save me!"

"Goodbye, brothers! See you in the next life!"

"May we never encounter such a despicable human in our next life!"

Hearing their cries, Han Feng frowned slightly.

These clams were too noisy. If only he could mute them somehow.

At that thought, the noise around him suddenly disappeared.

"Hmm?" Han Feng's eyes flashed with surprise.

Could he really block out certain sounds just by thinking about it?

Curious, he mentally commanded, "Unmute!"

Immediately, the clams' curses filled the air again.

"Human, even as a ghost, I won't forgive you!"

"You'll die a terrible death!"

"Your conscience will haunt you forever!"

"I curse you to never grow taller!"

"Wow, it actually works!" Han Feng smirked and muted them again.

The entrenching shovel looked at the clams, writhing in agony in the boiling water, and couldn't help but feel sympathetic. "Big brother, I think you're being too cruel! Just for your appetite, you're taking the lives of so many innocent creatures. Do you even have a conscience? You're nothing short of a ruthless butcher! I despise you!"

The frying pan immediately spoke up in Han Feng's defense. "Shovel, what are you saying? Big Brother is human—doesn't he need to eat? Eating a few clams is perfectly normal!"

The entrenching shovel huffed, "You're just his accomplice! I don't want to talk to you!"

The frying pan fell silent.

Han Feng grabbed the entrenching shovel, his gaze turning cold as he stared at it.

Feeling uneasy, the shovel stammered, "B-Big brother, I was just speaking from the heart. You're not mad, are you?"

Han Feng chuckled, "Shovel, have you ever considered that you're also my accomplice? If you hadn't helped me dig up the clams, how would they have ended up in the frying pan?"

"Huh?" The entrenching shovel was dumbfounded.

Thinking it over, it realized—Han Feng was right!

Han Feng's lips curled into a smirk. "Now what do you have to say?"

The entrenching shovel hung its head in defeat. "I feel like… I've been a fool."

"You're not just like a fool—you are a fool!" Han Feng scoffed. Then, his tone sharpened. "If you can't talk properly, then just stay quiet! Next time you speak to me in that tone, I'll throw you into the latrine pit."

The entrenching shovel shuddered.

Suddenly, the wooden fence chimed in, "Big brother, we don't even have a toilet in our shelter."

"You think I don't know that? Do I need you to remind me?" Han Feng shot it a glare. "I'll dig one soon! And whoever disrespects me will be thrown in!"

The wooden fence quickly backtracked. "Pretend I never said anything."

Terrified, the entrenching shovel swore, "Big brother, I've learned my lesson! I swear on the sun, I'll never speak out of turn again!"

The sun suddenly scoffed. "A tiny speck like you dares to swear on me? Know your place!"

The entrenching shovel fell silent, thoroughly humiliated.

Han Feng chuckled. "No need to be so harsh, dear sun. It's just a little shovel."

The sun snapped, "Are we close? Don't try to act familiar with me!"

Han Feng: "…"

What was up with the sun today? Did it eat something bitter?

Acting like it was above everyone just because it was the sun—how arrogant!

Han Feng snorted and ignored it.

Just then, the frying pan reminded him, "Big brother, the clams are done. Any longer, and they'll be overcooked!"

Han Feng quickly removed the pan from the fire and took a closer look.

The eight clams had all opened their shells—proof that they were fully cooked and ready to eat.

Without hesitation, Han Feng devoured them one by one, even drinking all the soup.

Now that was satisfying.

By the time he finished, the sun had fully set, and darkness had taken over the sky.

After a quick trip to the toilet, Han Feng was about to enter his thatched hut when the entrenching shovel suddenly spoke up. "Big brother, it's dark outside… You're not going to leave me out here alone, are you? I'm scared!"

The frying pan quickly followed, "Big brother, I'm scared too…"

The magnifying glass chimed in, "Big brother, I am your most loyal little mirror! You wouldn't abandon me, would you?"

"Ugh, a bunch of cowards!" Han Feng scoffed but still picked them up one by one.

Just as he was about to step into the hut, the wooden fence suddenly spoke. "Big brother, what about me?"

Han Feng paused and turned around. "What do you mean?"

The wooden fence complained, "You're all going inside while I'm left out here alone. I'm scared too!"
