Third Person POV
"Lucian, what's happening to me?" Selene's voice shook as she looked at him with wide eyes.
"As a witch, most of your power comes from controlling things with your mind," he explained gently.
Ever since Maya had revealed what she was to her, she'd managed to stay calm about everything. The magic, the past lives, the supernatural world she'd been thrown into, she'd handled it all pretty well. But now, she could feel herself panicking. Everything felt different. Overwhelming.
"This is cool, right?" she said with a nervous smile as she looked up at him. He stood there with his bare chest exposed. His hair messy from sleepy, and she couldn't help but stare. Even when she was panicking, he still managed to make her heart race.
"Yeah," he hummed, his voice deep and rough. "You'll get used to it."
