Chapter 16
The night's weather wasn't favoring anyone; the wind was too strong for anyone to go out into, but Jerome and Olivia were determined to ruin Rae's life, and they were not going to sit and watch the weather ruin their plans.
Jerome tied a large scarf around his neck and head, only his eyes were not covered. Olivia did the same thing and marched together to the Healer's house. When they got to the gate, Jerome was carrying her in his arms. When the watchmen saw him, one of them quickly rushed to the gate to give a helping hand.
He carried Olivia on his shoulders and took her into the Healer's house. When Jerome entered, he was surprised to see that the Healer wasn't just treating the maid, he was also trying to make sure she woke up.
"Too bad she's going to die tonight, old man," Jerome said to himself, following the guard into the room.
"I don't know what happened to my wife. She just collapsed. Can we go to your office and have a talk about her health?"
