Chapter 17
Alpha Kendrick was awakened by the guard who knocked tirelessly for a while before he opened his eyes. Rae was the one who got to the door and opened it,
"It's one of your soldiers, Alpha Kendrick." She announced, yawning and stretching out her arms before the guard.
"What do you want?" Alpha Kendrick inquired as he tied the loose ends of his robe before getting up.
"The Healer says he wants to see you. It's urgent."
This left Alpha Kendrick a bit skeptical, he was wondering why the Healer would come to him at this time.
"The sun isn't up, why can't it wait? He decides to disturb my sleep. I hope it's as urgent as he says it is." His thoughts as he followed the guard downstairs to the living room where the Healer was seated.
"Alright, what's so urgent that you decided to disturb my sleep?"
"Your majesty…" He bowed his head down before continuing his words.
