Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – Welcome to the Nightmare

The sun was slowly setting over the crowded rooftops of São Paulo's north side, tinting the sky with a dirty orange hue. Adam kicked the ball with precision on the dusty field, surrounded by graffitied walls and a makeshift wooden bench where a few neighbors cheered lazily. The smell of barbecue mixed with motorcycle exhaust completed the typical evening scene of the neighborhood.

At 21 years old, Adam was the kind of guy who drew attention without even trying. Standing 1.86 meters tall, with an athletic build from years of street football, messy brown hair, and a handsome face that earned discreet glances, he lived his life the best he could. He worked part-time as a delivery driver, helped his mom at home, and escaped reality through the game.

"Nice one, Adam! That goal counts double!" shouted Vinícius, his teammate.

The game ended soon after, followed by laughs, teasing, and dirty hands clasped in farewell. Adam slung his backpack over his shoulder and took a shortcut through a narrow alley that connected the field to the bus terminal. He knew that alley well — the graffiti on the walls, the damp smell, and that old flickering streetlamp.

But tonight, everything changed.

The lamp blinked one last time and went out completely. A sudden chill ran down Adam's spine, and the darkness around him felt almost alive.

[System Activated – Dimensional Survivor Project Initiated]

"What the hell...?" he muttered, stopping dead in his tracks.

In front of him, a blue screen floated in midair, as if straight out of a sci-fi movie. White letters glowed against the darkness:

[Congratulations, Adam. You've been chosen.]

[Rule #1: Survive.]

[Rule #2: You cannot run.]

[Rule #3: In each world, you'll have one chance to evolve... if you live.]

Before he could even think about running, the ground vanished beneath his feet. He fell — not into a hole, but as if space itself had been torn apart. The fall felt endless.

When he opened his eyes again, he was lying in the middle of a dark, damp forest covered in heavy mist. The air was thick, and the silence broken only by distant water and rustling leaves. There was no sign of São Paulo, Brazil, or anything familiar.

"This has to be a nightmare…" he muttered, feeling the ground.

Then he heard it. Fast footsteps. A woman's scream in the distance. And faint music — like from an old, broken radio... or the forest itself.

"ki-ki-ki, ma-ma-ma…"

Adam's breath caught in his throat. His heart pounded like a drum.

That sound.

He knew it.

"Jason?" he whispered, voice trembling.

Reality had turned into fiction. Or rather — horror had become real.

He was in Crystal Lake.

And it was only the beginning.

The wet leaves crunched under Adam's soaked sneakers as he moved carefully. Every step was a test of his nerves — the forest seemed alive, pulsing, as if aware of his presence. The red moon hung overhead, casting a sickly glow between the trees.

He froze at the sound of a branch snapping.

"Shit…" he whispered, crouching behind a thick tree.

The sound was close.

Too close.

Then he saw it. A tall figure, broad frame, a hockey mask hiding its face. Jason Voorhees walked slowly, dragging his machete along the ground. The metal scraped against rocks with a sound like a funeral bell.

Adam held his breath. This wasn't cosplay. This wasn't a prank. It was real. And Jason's presence felt suffocating.

[Threat Level: Lethal]

[Mission Active: Survive until dawn]

[Hint: Run. Now.]

The system interface popped up again, like a forced instinct. And he obeyed. He got up slowly and began to run between the trees, trying to recall every movie he'd ever watched. Jason was slow, but relentless. The kind of monster that showed up when you least expected it.

Snap!

He stepped on a dry branch. He cursed under his breath.

Behind him, the sound of the machete stopped. The silence that followed was worse than any scream.

"Go, go, go…" Adam muttered, chest burning with effort and fear.

He climbed a muddy slope, slipping, until he reached what looked like an old wooden cabin. The door was ajar, creaking in the wind. He slipped inside, closing it carefully, heart pounding.

Inside, everything reeked of dust and rot. An old bed, rusty tools, a flashlight with dead batteries… and a wall of old photos, all slashed through with knives. On the floor, a discarded backpack. He rushed to it.

[Item Acquired: Partial Map of the Camp]

[Mission Update: Side Objective – Survive with another participant. Remaining Survivors: 1]

Adam froze. Another participant?

A muffled sound came from outside the cabin. A voice, in Portuguese.

"Tem alguém aí?" ("Is someone there?")

It was a girl. Tense, but alive.

Adam opened the door slightly.

"Hey! Over here!" he called, just loud enough.

Across the clearing, a girl with short hair and a backpack was running toward him.

But behind her, emerging from the shadows like a living curse… Jason.

Adam didn't hesitate. He ran to her, grabbed her by the arm, and the two of them dove into the cabin at the last second. The blade sliced through the door with terrifying ease.

"I'm Adam," he said, breathless, eyes wide. "Welcome to hell."
