Kai's POV
THE atmosphere was thick enough to choke on. Kei and Zari were talking about random things while eating. Zari's constantly trying to open a conversation with me, but I must admit that I'm not good at prolonged conversation.
A soft music was playing, keeping the air calm amidst the tension between us four.
"So…" Zari turned to me again, smiling. "What kind of music do you like, Kai?" She was talking to Kei about their favorite boy band.
I turned to her and slowly pointed at the air. "That kind," I answered, talking about the music playing.
She giggled. "Instrumental? What a classic taste. My father loves instrumental music too, and we used to dance to it."
I smiled, as gentle as I could. "What about yours?"
She tucked her hair behind her ear, pleased by my attention. "I like romantic songs. Those that can give me butterflies."
"Hm…" I nodded, sipping on my water as I accidentally glanced at Kei and Zane.
