Kai's POV
My eyes blinked continuously while staring at Zane after he pulled away from the kiss. He was still standing so close to me, eyes locked with mine, but no one dared to speak.
We are staring at each other, processing what just happened between us.
The kiss. The warmth. The tingling sensations. Everything lingers, keeping my head in chaos.
My breath was shallow, my blood was burning, my heart was pounding.
How?
I mean…he swore to never let me taste his lips. But why did he kiss me? Take note that he's completely sober. He didn't drink. He wasn't delirious.
I saw him swallowed hard, his eyes dropped to mine again before he slowly shut his eyes tight, taking a deep breath in.
I pressed my lips together and pushed his chest. He involuntarily stepped back, like he was too weak to fight my strength. Then he stared at my face.
Shaking my head, I turned my swivel chair around, facing the glass wall. "Get out, Zane."
