Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The Proposal.

The air crackled with tension as Brian and King Valor faced each other in their battle stances, a stark contrast in their demeanors. Brian, the cocky mercenary, relished the impending fight, while King Valor stood as a beacon of righteous fury, ready to defend his people.

"Let's see if that fancy armor can withstand my fists," Brian sneered, launching himself forward with a burst of speed.

King Valor met the attack head-on, his movements fluid and precise. He deflected Brian's initial punch with his armored forearm, the impact sending a shockwave through the air. He retaliated with a swift kick aimed at Brian's chest, but the mercenary sidestepped it with ease. Then, King Valor unleashed a barrage of punches aimed directly at Brian, but Brian deflected all of his punches effortlessly. King Valor then delivered a powerful left spinning kick straight to Brian's face, but Brian again blocked the kick with his right arm without even trying.

The battle became a blur of motion, a symphony of clashing fists and kicks. Brian's aggressive fighting style pushed King Valor to his limits, and he was clearly outmatched by Brian's superior speed, agility, and strength, while Brian wasn't even trying—he wasn't even using one and a half percent of his true power. King Valor tried his best to evade the relentless onslaught. King Valor, in turn, unleashed powerful energy attacks, forcing Brian to weave and dodge, his cocky grin never disappearing, as King Valor realized the true extent of his opponent's power. Brian was heavily suppressing his true power so his opponent could give him a good fight.

Brian then delivered a devastating point-blank uppercut that hit Valor's chin, making him face upward. Then Brian grabbed his left leg, spun his whole body with King Valor, and then slammed him to the ground, cracking his armor. Brian then kicked him, sending him flying and crashing into one of the Ostrapians' houses, destroying it, as smoke appeared. Brian looked towards King Valor, his cocky smirk never disappearing.

The dust settled, revealing King Valor lying amidst the rubble of what was once a home. He slowly stood, wiping a trickle of blood from his lip, as he glared menacingly at Brian. His golden armor was cracked and dented, his halo flickered weakly, and his breathing was labored. He struggled to rise, but his body refused to cooperate.

Brian, seeing his intimidating stare, only chuckled and said, "Not bad, for a king," He admitted, clapping his hands mockingly. "But you're still holding back. Let's see what you're really capable of!" He said, taunting him.

"Very well," King Valor said, his voice booming with newfound power. "I will show you the true strength of a king who fights for his people!"

With a deafening roar, King Valor's aura flared, his golden halo glowing brighter. He closed his eyes, and a wave of energy washed over him, transforming his armor, making it more golden and stronger, and his muscles were growing. He reopened his eyes, now burning with an even more intense blue light. King Valor, in turn, unleashed powerful energy attacks directly at Brian. Brian only smirked as he spun his whole body, punching through the energy attacks. He unleashed a power wave of wind with his fist, using his chakra.

The wave of wind generated by Brian's punch dispersed King Valor's energy attacks like dandelion seeds in a gale. The force of it was so immense that it carved a trench in the ground, the shockwave rippling outwards and shaking the remaining buildings. The Ostrapians watching from afar could barely comprehend the sheer scale of the power being unleashed.

King Valor charged, his enhanced speed now a match for Brian's. Their fists collided with earth-shattering force, creating shockwaves that leveled the surrounding buildings. The Ostrapians watched in awe and terror as their king battled the seemingly invincible mercenary.

Brian, still holding back, decided to use one percent of his true power against King Valor's newfound power. He increased his own speed and ferocity, matching King Valor's attacks with devastating counters. King Valor was already at his full power, while Brian, on the other hand, was only using one percent.

Brian tanked a sweeping left kick without even trying. That would have shattered his ribs if he was weak. Then retaliated with a right lightning-fast jab to King Valor's abdomen, then threw another lightning-fast left jab hitting the left side of King Valor's face, then another lightning-fast right jab also hitting the right side of King Valor's face, then a lightning-fast left hook straight to King Valor's face, then another lightning-fast left uppercut straight to his chin, then another lightning-fast left that was aimed at the left side of his stomach, then for the final combo, he delivered a lightning-fast right axe kick straight to his head.

The axe kick connected, sending King Valor crashing back down to earth with the force of a meteor. The ground trembled as he landed, creating a massive crater, and a cloud of dust obscured the scene. The Ostrapians gasped, their hopes plummeting as they witnessed their king's apparent defeat.

Brian landed gracefully, his smirk widening as he surveyed the scene. "Is that all you've got, Kingy?" he taunted, cracking his knuckles. "I'm just getting warmed up."

As the dust settled, King Valor slowly began to rise. He was battered and bruised, his armor further damaged, but his eyes still burned with that unwavering blue fire. He stood tall, his body radiating defiance, even as his strength waned.

"I... will... not yield," King Valor gasped, each word a struggle. "Even if it costs me my life..."

Brian sighed at his stubbornness. "Give it up already. You're fighting a pointless battle," He said as he slowly descended to the ground.

Suddenly, King Valor emitted a surge of power that shook Brian to the core. Brian, visibly surprised, was pushed back a few feet by the sheer force of King Valor's power. The Ostrapians cheered, their hopes renewed as they witnessed their king's unyielding spirit. He raised his hands towards the sky, gathering energy into a massive sphere above him. The sphere grew larger and brighter, crackling with electricity, threatening to engulf the entire battlefield.

"This is the culmination of all my power," King Valor announced, his voice echoing with divine strength. "The ultimate attack! Prepare yourself!"

Brian's smirk finally vanished, replaced by a look of genuine interest. He could sense the immense power contained within that sphere, and he knew that even with his suppressed strength, he couldn't simply tank this attack. It was time to get serious.

"Alright, Kingy," Brian said, a hint of excitement in his voice. "You've got my attention. Let's see if you can actually hit me with that thing." As King Valor prepared to unleash his final attack, it hit Brian at point-blank speed, and smoke appeared. King Valor smiled, as the Ostrapians cheered, their hopes renewed as they witnessed their king manage to defeat Brian, or so they thought.

As King Valor held his left arm, he turned around to walk away. Then Brian shouted, "Where do you think you're going?" He said in a mockingly tone. This shocked King Valor and the Ostrapians. As the smoke disappeared, Brian was standing in the same place as the attack hit him, undamaged and unscratched.

King Valor was shocked. His body was shaking and spoke. "How-how did you survive that attack undamaged..."

Brian chuckled and spoke. "Simple, actually, I'm just stronger than you..." He said mockingly.

"No, that's impossible!" King Valor shouted, as he kept holding his left arm.

"I must admit, that attack is really good, it really tickled me, if you were maybe stronger than me, you could have killed me with that attack of yours. But unfortunately, I'm just million or even trillion times stronger than you, your strength is nothing but like an ant to me," Brian said, grinning deviously.

King Valor stared in disbelief, his blue eyes wide with shock. The Ostrapians were silent, their cheers replaced by a stunned silence. Their last hope, their ultimate attack, had been completely ineffective.

"What, you were holding back this entire time..." King Valor said, shocked.

Brian chuckled and said jokingly. "Of course, why would an adult go full force when fighting mere children..." He said in a mocking tone.

King Valor's shoulders slumped, his head bowed in defeat. The golden halo above him flickered and faded, and his transformed armor began to revert to its original state, the enhanced muscles shrinking back to their normal size. He was spent, both physically and emotionally.

"Then...it's over," King Valor murmured, his voice barely audible. "We're doomed." He said, sitting down.

Brian watched him with detached amusement, his devious grin widening. He took a step closer to the defeated king. King Valor looked up at him, his expression stoic. Brian's eyes narrowed as he looked down at him, pointing his right hand towards him, forming a golden chakra ball that was the size of a tennis ball. King Valor looked up, accepting his fate.

"So, do you have any final words before you die, or should I give you a funeral to remember just how pathetic you are?" Brian said, insulting him.

"Finish me, I deserve a clean death..." King Valor said, his expression frowning.

Brian, still looking down at him, his devious grin never disappearing, spoke. "A clean death, you say? And what makes you think I would give you that, huh..."

"You see, weakling," Brian said, his voice a low, menacing whisper. "I don't believe in clean deaths. I believe in making people suffer. I believe in breaking their spirits."

King Valor remained silent, his gaze fixed on the ground. He had no answer, no plea to offer. He had fought his best, given everything he had, and failed. Now, he was at the mercy of this merciless being, and he knew there would be no escape.

Brian chuckled, a cruel sound that echoed through the desolate landscape. "You amuse me, insect. You really do. You fought with such conviction, such determination, even if you know that you're outmatched. But in the end, you're just another insect waiting to be crushed." He raised the golden chakra ball higher, its light reflecting in King Valor's defeated eyes. "Now die..." He said, ready to blast King Valor.

Suddenly, a voice cried out, "Stop!" Brian paused, his eyes narrowing as he turned towards the source of the sound. It was the pregnant Ostrapian woman who had pleaded with him earlier. She stood defiantly, her hands still clasped over her swollen belly, her eyes blazing with a fierce resolve.

"Please," she said, her voice trembling but firm. "Don't do this. Don't take another life. There's been enough bloodshed."

Brian hummed and said. "What's it to you, insect? You think your pleas will sway me? I'm not some sentimental fool. I came here to do a job, and I intend to finish it."

"But what about the children?" she pleaded, her voice cracking with emotion. "What about the future? If you destroy us all, there will be nothing left but ashes. Is that what you want? A world devoid of hope?"

Brian laughed and said. "You think I give a fuck about you and your pathetic children... I came here to destroy you all, and I will not hesitate to kill everything here..." He said, making them all understand. "And I will do it with you first..." He said, as he raised his right hand towards her and blasted her to nothingness without hesitation.

The pregnant woman didn't even have time to scream. The golden chakra ball struck her, and she vanished in a flash of light, leaving not even dust behind. The remaining Ostrapians gasped in horror, their faces contorted with grief and terror.

King Valor, witnessing this atrocity, felt something snap within him. A surge of pure, unadulterated rage washed over him, eclipsing his despair. He had failed to protect his people, he had failed to save their future, but he would not stand idly by and let this monster continue his reign of terror.

"You... monster!" King Valor roared, his voice resonating with newfound fury. He staggered to his feet, his body trembling with anger and adrenaline. The remnants of his golden halo flickered back to life, burning brighter than before.

Brian, unfazed by King Valor's renewed defiance, simply chuckled. "Oh, are you angry, Kingy? Did I upset you by squashing that little bug? Well, get over it. She was just another insignificant speck in the grand scheme of things."

"She was a mother!" King Valor retorted, his eyes blazing with righteous anger. "She carried the future of our people within her! You have condemned us all to extinction!"

Brian chuckled and spoke. "Well, I am a monster..." He said, in a whispered voice sounding like a demon. Then pointed his left hand towards him and blasted him away, killing him without hesitation.

The remaining Ostrapians fell silent, their eyes wide with terror as they witnessed the demise of their king. Their last bastion of hope, their protector, had been extinguished without mercy. Some wept openly, others stood frozen in shock, unable to comprehend the sheer brutality of what they had just witnessed. Brian, standing amidst the carnage, surveyed the scene with cold indifference.

"Well, that's that," Brian said, his voice devoid of emotion. "That was a boring fight..." He said, sighing. He turned to leave, his back to the devastated Ostrapians.

Brian stopped, his head tilting slightly, as he sensed something due to his Chakra mystery. Suddenly, the earth trembled, and a guttural roar echoed through the plains. A massive Ostrapian emerged from the throng, easily towering over the others, even Brian himself. This Ostrapian was different; his skin was a darker shade of green, and his antennae were thick and gnarled. His eyes glowed with an intense, malevolent energy. He was clad in primitive armor made of bone and crude metal, and he wielded a colossal club studded with jagged rocks.

"You dare desecrate our sacred land, outsider?" the giant bellowed, his voice laced with venom. "You will pay for your transgressions with your life!"

Brian's grin widened, his onyx eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Oh, what's this!" he exclaimed, cracking his neck. "I was starting to think this planet was full of shit."

Without waiting for a response, the giant charged, his club whistling through the air. Brian sidestepped the attack with practiced ease, the force of the blow creating a shockwave that pulverized the ground where he had stood moments before.

"Slow!" Brian taunted, circling the giant like a predator sizing up its prey. "You're going to have to do better than that if you want to stand a chance."

The giant roared in frustration and unleashed a series of wild swings, each one more powerful than the last. Brian danced around the attacks, his movements fluid and graceful, effortlessly avoiding the giant's clumsy attempts to crush him. He saw an opening and launched himself forward, delivering a lightning-fast series of punches and kicks to the giant's exposed torso.

The giant staggered backward, clutching his stomach, but quickly recovered. He swung his club in a wide arc, forcing Brian to back off. "You're fast, little insect," the giant growled, "but you can't hurt me!"

Brian smirked. "Is that what you think?" He said, as he put his index finger and middle finger to his forehead and teleported behind him, then delivered a brutal sledgehammer into his back, breaking the giant's back.

(Author's note: This teleportation technique is called "Chrono Shift". Like Dimensional Travel, Chrono Shift is a space-time ability developed by the Hunter Blades Shinobi. The user can teleport to any location they can visualize or by simply looking at it. It can also swap places with objects and people; the user needs to visualize the target or look at the target to swap positions, like Dimensional Travel. Brian had learned this technique at the academy. This teleportation ability is the Hunter Blades Shinobi's teleportation version of the Forsaken Monks' Dimensional Travel. (Like Dimensional Travel, this teleportation ability is inspired by Son Goku's Instant Transmission and Sasuke Uchiha's Amenotejikara.)

With a burst of speed, Brian closed the distance between them, unleashing a barrage of punches and kicks with blinding speed. Each blow landed with devastating force. The giant roared in pain, his armor cracking and splintering under the relentless assault.

Finally, Brian unleashed his signature move, Phantom Crasher. Brian positioned himself in a powerful, aggressive stance. He pointed both of his hands into the front, then he pulled them near his face. His arms are raised, the left hand is bent at the elbow and positioned in the back, while the right hand is also bent at the elbow and more extended as his left hand grips his right hand, clenching together. He stands tall, his eyes blazing with a fierce intensity, facing his left side. A deep, guttural growl escapes his lips as he gathers his energy into his right hand, and a crimson red aura engulfs his body from head to toe. His hands glow with a red light as he channels his chakra into the palms of his hands, forming a bright red orb emanating from his palm. His body is angled, his right leg is bent at the knee and raised, while his left leg is extended back and slightly lower. His facial expression is one of fierce concentration. (The pose of this technique is similar to Vegeta's Galick Gun)

"Phantom Crasher!!!" Brian roared. And then, with a lightning-fast movement, he thrust both his hands into a single point between his palms together. In a lightning-fast movement, a blinding flash of fuchsia light erupts from his palms, a concentrated beam of red energy that tears through the air with a deafening roar. The air crackles with energy, and the air trembles at the power of the blast, hitting the giant at point-blank speed, as the blast engulfed him with a blinding light.

The world seemed to dissolve in a torrent of red. The Phantom Crasher, unleashed at point-blank range, ripped through the giant's body like a hot knife through butter. The giant's roar of defiance was cut short, replaced by a guttural scream of agony as his body was vaporized, atom by atom, leaving behind nothing but a faint scent of ozone and a crater glowing with residual energy.

As the light subsided, Brian stood amidst the smoking remains, his crimson aura fading. He ran a hand through his hair, a bored expression on his face. "Well, that was a little more interesting, I suppose," he muttered to himself. He turned back to the remaining Ostrapians, who were now cowering in fear, their eyes wide with a mixture of awe and terror.

"Anyone else feeling brave?" Brian asked, his voice dripping with mockery. Silence was his only answer. The Ostrapians, their spirits broken and their leaders vanquished, could only stare at him, paralyzed by fear. He smirked. "Didn't think so."

Brian chuckled, shaking his head. "Pathetic," he muttered. "Just like the rest." He turned to leave, ready to report back to his client and collect his fee. As he flew to the skies in a point-blank speed, away from the decimated village, he could hear the faint whimpers of the survivors, their cries a testament to the devastation he had wrought. He felt nothing but a detached sense of satisfaction. He had done his job, and he had done it well. As he finally reached space, a few meters away from planet Ostrapia, Brian stopped and turned to face the pathetic planet, his expression devious, as he slowly raised his right hand and snapped his finger, making the planet explode, killing the Ostrapians to extinction.

The shockwave of the explosion rippled through space, a silent testament to the annihilation of an entire civilization. Brian watched dispassionately as the debris of Ostrapia scattered into the void, adding to the cosmic dust. He felt no remorse, no guilt, only a fleeting sense of accomplishment, as he smirked devilishly.

"Another job done," Brian said to himself, his voice barely audible above the cosmic silence. "Time to get paid." He turned away from the wreckage and flew away into the vastness of space. But little did he know someone was observing him, a few distances away it was Omega Alpha, her expression stoic.

Omega Alpha didn't speak, as she opened a portal and, without hesitation, stepped through, disappearing into the fabric of space and time. Her mission of recruiting him to be part of the Council had begun.

Brian, meanwhile, flying in the deep, was making his way towards a building named Deep Space Tavern, which is the place where all races stay, from criminals, rebels, and especially mercenaries of all races hangout. Deep Space Tavern is a cyberpunk-type of Tavern. Brian always hangs out in this Tavern for his clients to hire him for something. Brian landed at the entrance and entered the tavern, his expression unchanged. All of the individuals that saw Brian enter whispered amongst themselves, and some turned their heads to avoid looking at him. They know how strong and dangerous Brian is, as his reputation as the Fist of Fury is known from all around the universe. Brian walked past them all and seated himself at an empty table, waiting for his client to pay him.

The dim, neon-lit interior of the Deep Space Tavern buzzed with a cacophony of alien languages, clinking glasses, and the rhythmic pulse of synth music. Brian, unfazed by the sensory overload, leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes, appearing relaxed with a serious expression. A waitress, a blue-skinned humanoid with intricate cybernetic enhancements, approached his table.

"Can I get you something, sir?" she asked, her voice a synthesized melody.

Brian slightly opened his eyes. "Yeah, give me a glass of water, I'm thirsty..." he said in a serious tone, then closed his eyes again.

The waitress nodded and glided away, as Brian closed his eyes again, his serious expression unchanged. A hulking Krogan mercenary argued with a wiry Volus over a game of chance, a pair of cloaked Quarians huddled in a corner, whispering secrets, and a lone Asari sipped a shimmering blue cocktail, her expression enigmatic. This was his world, a melting pot of the galaxy's most dangerous and desperate souls.

A few minutes later, the waitress returned with his drink, a simple, but alien-like water, with a white and yellow color. He took a long swig, the potent concoction burning its way down his throat, and sighed in satisfaction. As he was enjoying his drink, a figure emerged from the shadows, approaching his table with a cautious gait. It was his client, a Rodian businessman named Greedo, recognizable by his bulbous eyes, green skin, and distinctive snout.

"Oh Brian," Greedo greeted, his voice raspy. "Good to see you."

Brian raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. "The job's done. Where's the money?"

Greedo fidgeted nervously, glancing around the tavern. "Of course, of course. But perhaps we could discuss the details in a more private setting?"

Brian's eyes narrowed. "I don't do private settings. Out with it, Greedo." He said, a bit annoyed.

Greedo sighed, resigned. He reached into his coat and pulled out a stack of gold, placing it on the table. "Here's the payment for your services, the boss is very happy you destroyed planet Ostrapia."

Brian didn't respond to what he said, as he didn't care about what his boss thinks, only focused on getting his payment. Brian picked up the stack of gold and opened it to make sure it wasn't fake.

Brian pocketed the stack of gold and leaned back in his seat, his expression indifferent. "Pleasure doing business with you, Greedo. Now get the fuck out of my sight before I demolish you."

Greedo, clearly intimidated, scurried away without another word, disappearing back into the shadows from whence he came. Brian watched him go, a smirk playing on his lips. He finished his drink and leaned back in his seat, trying to relax, closing his eyes again, his expression calm. Then suddenly a voice, smooth and confident, cut through the tavern's noise.

"Impressive reputation you've cultivated, Brian Bautista." A woman's voice said.

Brian's eyes snapped open, and he turned his head, his senses on high alert, his expression serious.

Standing beside his table was a woman unlike anyone he had ever seen. She was tall and statuesque, with skin like polished obsidian and eyes that glowed with an inner light. Her attire was simple, yet elegant, a dark, form-fitting suit that seemed to ripple with energy. Her androgynous and futuristic appearance was dominated by a color palette of white and holographic shimmering rainbow-color effects. She appeared to float through the air, and her face tended to wear a neutral expression.

Brian ignored what she said, as he leaned back in his seat. "May I join you?" Omega Alpha said, in a stoic expression. Brian observed the woman, he thought that she might be just some shady client like the rest. Or she might be some annoying fan-girls always lusting over his appearance, he hoped she wasn't here to do that, he had no time for stupidity.

Brian studied her for a moment, his expression unreadable. "Who the fuck are you?"

"Omega Alpha," she replied, her voice resonating with authority. "I've been watching you, Brian. Your skills, your... ruthlessness. They are quite remarkable." She said in a stoic expression.

Brian scoffed. "Flattery will get you nowhere. If you're here to acknowledge me with my looks, then go fuck yourself... I don't have time for some annoying fan-girls..." He said in a cold tone.

"Relax, I'm not here to flatter you, I'm here because of a mission of my..." Omega Alpha said. Brian raised an eyebrow. "I have a proposition for you," Omega Alpha said, ignoring his brusqueness. "An opportunity to use your talents for a greater purpose. A chance to be part of something... bigger than you could have ever have."

Brian raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite himself. "Bigger than anything that I have... The fuck do you mean by that?" He said in a confused tone.

Omega nodded and spoke. "Yes, it involves forming a group called the Council, and I was sent here to hire you to be part of it." She said in a stoic expression.

Brian considered her words, a flicker of curiosity in his eyes. "The Council, I've never heard of them."

"The Council," Omega Alpha stated, her voice firm. "A group of the most powerful and influential beings in the galaxy, dedicated to maintaining balance and order. We need someone with your... unique skillset."

"You would serve as a protector," Omega Alpha explained. "A guardian against those who would threaten the peace. You would be given access to resources and information beyond your wildest dreams." Omega Alpha said towards him.

Brian raised an eyebrow and spoke. "Protector, do I look like a fucking protector to you, asshole... I'm a mercenary, I kill people and destroy worlds, moron..." He said in an angry expression.

Omega Alpha remained unfazed by Brian's outburst, her expression still stoic. "We are aware of your past, Brian," she said, her voice calm. "But we believe that even someone with your history is capable of change. The Council offers you a chance to use your power for something other than destruction."

Brian scoffed, taking another swig of his drink. "Change? I don't need to fucking change. I'm perfectly happy doing what I do."

"Are you?" Omega Alpha asked, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Is the endless cycle of violence and destruction truly satisfying? Or is there a part of you that yearns for something more?"

Brian laughed like a maniac. "You think I don't love the thrill of destruction? Bitch, I live for that, seeing people suffer and hearing them tremble through despair when they hear the sound of my name, excite me the most." He said with a devious smile.

Omega Alpha tilted her head slightly, her expression unchanging. "Interesting. Most beings attempt to justify their actions with noble intentions, even when those intentions are a lie. You, at least, are honest in your depravity."

Brian smirked, enjoying her blatant assessment of his character. "Honesty is a virtue. Besides, why bother lying? It's more fun to watch people squirm when they know exactly who they're dealing with."

"Indeed," Omega Alpha said. "However, even the most dedicated destroyer can find themselves... bored. The universe is vast, Brian, and there are challenges that even you cannot overcome alone. The Council offers not just purpose, but also... stimulation."

Brian hated to admit it, but she was right, he did love the thrill of destruction. But he was very bored since no one in this universe could truly challenge him. He raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite himself. "Stimulation? What kind of stimulation are we talking about?"

"The kind that comes from facing opponents who can truly test your limits," Omega Alpha replied, a flicker of something akin to amusement in her eyes. "Enemies who threaten not just planets, but entire galaxies. Problems that cannot be solved with brute force alone."

Brian chuckled and leaned back in his chair, with a bored expression and spoke. "I already faced those types of opponents, I fought powerful angels, powerful demons, and even omnipotent Gods, yet none of them could pose a challenge to me, I defeated all of them using only my brute force." He said in a bored expression. "What else do you think you can offer me?"

Omega Alpha paused, considering his words. "The universe is not static, Brian. New threats emerge, ancient evils awaken. The Council deals with forces you cannot even comprehend, entities that exist outside the boundaries of space and time."

Brian scoffed. "Sounds like a bunch of bullshit," he said dismissively, not believing what she said.

"Perhaps," Omega Alpha conceded. "But would you be willing to risk boredom on the chance that it's not? The Council has access to forbidden knowledge, technology beyond your wildest dreams, and the opportunity to fight alongside the most powerful beings in existence. We offer you a seat at the table, Brian. All you have to do is accept."

Brian, still not interested, only remained silent at her offer. "Look, miss Omega... if what you say is true, then why haven't fucking encountered one before? I've been in space for almost 10,000 years now, and not even one, I never encountered one of what you said."

Omega Alpha, seeing his reaction, spoke. "Very well, you might be right about what you said... But how about this, if you work for me, and become not just a mercenary but an executioner, I will tell you everything you need to know, even your own origins..."

To be continued.
