In 2010, mysterious creatures appeared across the globe. Anomalous beings with strange shapes and appearances that seemed to be from races completely unknown to human science.
After extensive investigation, it was discovered that these creatures did not belong to our dimension, but rather came from some kind of alternate dimension. The death rate they cause to humans is also very high and dangerous for the planet.
In 2020, this officially became a global threat, as these monsters continued to appear more frequently and became increasingly powerful than before. Some even showed signs of destructive powers never seen by humanity. The source of these powers is still unknown; some claim they are magical powers, while others speculate that these powers are some kind of energy mixed with ether.
After being declared a global threat and amidst human desperation to survive, an astonishing discovery was made that same year. By mixing the blood of these creatures with that of humans, certain people were able to acquire powers similar to these monsters. Only 3% of these experiments were successful, while the rest simply failed to acquire the powers without any side effects.
The acquired powers did not necessarily depend on the creature's own power. If one of the beasts possessed the destructive power of fire, a hunter who consumed the beast's blood had a chance of retaining the same power or another, without necessarily having to be fire. This depended on each person's willpower and effort.
After experimenting for a time with these humans and discovering that some were useful in fighting the beasts, world governments decided to create foundations for hunters endowed with these powers.
Raids were carried out by squads of five members. Each team had to include a fighter, a healer, and an enhancer. This depended largely on the skills of each individual.

Nowadays, much progress has been made in the fight against the creatures. Hunters capable of honing their skills on a large scale were increasingly appearing. Specialized ranks were even created to define each hunter's power: C, B, A, S, SS, SSS.
Depending on their rank, hunters were assigned a specific raid. If the hunter was S-rank, one of the three most powerful, they would be responsible for slaying monsters of a higher level than most.
