Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: The Deranged Young Master Jiang

Watching the 'young man' with flushed cheeks and an awkwardly evasive look, Mason Bennett's furrowed brows gradually relaxed, and the icy cold aura around him seemed to dissipate a bit.

"Hungry?"

Bella Green: "..." Would he believe her if she said no?

"Follow me." The man left a sentence and turned around to enter the hotel.

Bella stood in place for a moment, knowing full well that she shouldn't be involved with him, knowing she should stay away from him, but she still unconsciously followed him.

The driver, Uncle Wu, who was parking the car, was so shocked his mouth could fit an egg. Earlier at the old family house, there had been some unpleasantness between the young master and the master, and he had been nervous the whole drive back.

He was already shocked when Mason Bennett let Bella into the car, but who would have thought he would bring her into a hotel in the city?

Recalling the rumors about the eldest young master, Uncle Wu's face changed dramatically, and he took out his phone with trembling hands to make a call.

Could it be that their eldest young master...

Really likes men? But that kid just now, seemed like, still a minor!

He couldn't stand by and watch the young master 'go astray' and harm an innocent child.

And at this moment, the supposedly frenzied eldest young master took Bella into a private room.

After sitting down, Bella only then realized that she had actually followed Mason Bennett in, feeling quite frustrated all of a sudden.

Clearly, in the past, when she was with Mason Bennett, she was unrestrained and wild.

In front of Mason Bennett, she never knew what it meant to be reserved or gentle, but meeting again, she suddenly felt like she couldn't even dare to breathe loudly.

Maybe it was guilty conscience, or guilt...

Turning a she-devil into a timid little puppy in front of him.

She glanced at the man opposite her who was ordering dishes, slightly lost in thought.

It was still the face she remembered, but even younger than she remembered. She always knew Mason Bennett looked good.

In the previous life, many in Brocade City commented that the Bennett Family's young mistress ignored such a fresh, handsome man like Mason Bennett to dive headlong into a pile of cow dung, not knowing her luck.

After ordering, Mason looked at the little figure who's been staring at him since they entered, his eyes slightly lowered, with an almost imperceptible scrutiny in his inky-black eyes.

Normally, he hated it when people stared at him so openly, but inexplicably, when it came to this little fellow opposite him, he couldn't muster up any anger.

Perhaps, those eyes were... very special.

"Actually, you could've just lent me a hundred bucks," Bella mumbled.

She really didn't want to sit and eat with him; it was too much to bear.

"I don't have any cash on me."

Bella pressed her lips together, saying nothing, almost forgetting that this man never carried cash with him outside.

"I'll have someone send you home after the meal."

Looking at the little one who's been bowing her head, timid and demure, Mason said casually.

Leaving a penniless minor on the street is quite dangerous, especially when this little thing, though a 'young man,' is rather pretty.

Bella, mistaken for a small 'young man,' bowed her head and sat there obediently.

After the dishes came, she just started eating with her head down. Except for a bit of porridge at the hospital in the morning, she had nothing to eat all day; she truly was hungry.

Mason lounged comfortably against the back of his chair, legs crossed, a lit cigarette between his fingers, the smoke enveloping his sharp, cold profile.

The dishes in front of him were barely touched.

In fact, even those few bites Mason forced himself to swallow, just to make sure there was something in his stomach.

Across from him, Bella was eating heartily, seemingly oblivious to Mason's odd behavior.

The man watched the girl with her head down, continuously stuffing food into her mouth, her little face puffed up as she chewed, looking like a small hamster, her almond eyes narrowed in enjoyment because of the food.

That look, incredibly cute.

Hmm...

More like a little puppy.
