Chapter 1 - Life

A weak looking boy was sitting on a sidewalk with a sour look on his face. Jay looked like he was crying, but no tears flowed out. He decided to take a good look at what he called home, before he had to say goodbye. Even though Jay thought it was tough living on the streets, he still saw it as his home.

As Jay began to take his final glimpses of what he called home, a crowd of people caught his eye.

"Fight, fight!" the crowd chanted.

Jay already knew what was happening here, it was a daily occurrence for him.

'Why not one last time,' Jay smiled melancholy.

An aura of power flowed from the center of the crowd, an aura of chakra. The crowd was surrounding 2 chakra users battling for their lives. As they continued clashing, one finally came out on top.

"WOOOOOOOOOH!" the crowd screamed.

'I'm gonna miss this.'

Before Jay found the chance to exit the crowd, a man with a beanie came up to him and put his arm around his shoulder.

"Where are you going child of cripples?" the man chuckled.

Jay gave him a soft but sad look and the man immediately understood.

'What did I do to deserve this god Vedas. Was I really that bad of a person in my previous life.'

The holy one heard Jay's statement, still unmoved by his words.

After walking for around an hour, Jay finally found where he was supposed to be.

The church was big, and the amount of people in the church was even bigger. In front of all the wood coated seats was a slightly sunken platform with 14 crosses, waiting for their owner.

Jay walked to the front of the room, everyone's eyes on him. A drop of sweat was rolling down his face and slight twitches went through Jay's body. As he walked into the sunken platform he found himself in front of an orb.

"Just put your hand on the orb to confirm you have no open chakra channels Jay."

Jay nodded and put his hand on the orb.

After a few seconds, the woman pointed at one of the crosses and Jay walked to it.

Zero was the number.

'I really believed I might've had one chakra channel I didn't know about. Guess I don't have to worry about false hope anymore.'

There was no more hope to cling on to for Jay.

If there was he didn't know about it, after all he was about to be crucified.
