Rin woke up in a bed that wasn't his, in a body that wasn't his, in a fucking world that sure as hell wasn't his.
'What is happening? Where the hell am I?'
The ceiling was too damn clean to be his. The sheets were silk, soft and too white. He doesn't wash his sheets till it starts making him sneeze. The sunlight spilling through the curtains? Suspiciously soft.
"...No," he muttered.
He sat up fast, too fast. His balance was off since he felt lighter, smaller and... weak. He looked down and nearly gagged. The hands weren't his. They were pale, slim, pretty and soft.
"Oh fuck no."
He immediately shoved off the covers and stumbled toward the mirror on the wall. There it was... some kind of baroque-style bullshit hanging over a carved vanity.
And reflected back at him?
Porcelain skin. Collarbones. White-blond hair brushing over wide red eyes. Lips too pink, lashes too long. He looked like a live-action fanservice trap.
"FUCK!"
He kicked the damn vanity. It didn't break. Of course, it didn't break. This world probably had magic furniture, too.

A prompt popped up in thin, glowing letters across the mirror, like some cursed RPG UI.
Omega.
He choked. "Don't you fucking dare?"
He reached for his pocket instinctively... for his phone, and nearly collapsed when he didn't feel it. He tore open every drawer. Nothing. There was no screen, no charger, no music, no life.
"Where's my phone?!" He screamed, flipping a velvet pillow into the corner. "I had it on me—!"
It was then his last memory came back like a middle finger from fate and he finally remembered.
The book.
The reverse harem novel his sister forced on him. He'd been hate-reading it just last night, sprawled across the couch with a bowl of ramen on his chest, mocking every page like it personally offended him.
>Caged By My Alpha Mates<
"She ends up with three psychotic Alphas?" he'd scoffed, flipping a page. "One's her classmate. The other's his fuckin' dad. And the last guy... what, the king? Prince? Is this a soap opera or a smut dungeon?"
His sister, Mina, only rolled her eyes.
"If it's so bad, write your own."
"This is trash," he had said, tossing the book to his sister. "Caged by My Alpha Mates? Seriously? I could write a better plot with one eye closed and a broken keyboard."
Then he passed out, mid-rant, mid-noodle. And now here he was.
In the damn book.
Rin pressed his fingers to his temples.
"Okay. Okay. Breathe. You've seen Isekai. You've mocked enough web novels. Don't panic. I just need to find out who I am first,"
But he panicked.
He tore through the wardrobe and found a folded uniform... black, sleek, with a silver crest on the chest. A nameplate beside it read: Rin Elric, Medical Staff - Secondary Gender: Beta (Unverified)
"Wait... I'm pretending to be a Beta?"
Just then, the fake memories trickled in, just a few. And it was enough to tell him this version of Rin was a new hire at the Academy's Health Clinic. He was quiet, definitely keeping a low profile, known for his looks but not much else. Rumour had it he was delicate and a little strange.
Strange?
"Well, delicate my ass," Rin muttered, buttoning up the shirt. "I'm here to survive. That's it. I'm not going to become some flower here, not especially when I'm an omega!"
'But why exactly am I in this weak ass body? Why didn't I get something like a strong dominant Alpha or a normal Beta?'
"Is my sister the cause of this? I've always known she was a witch, but now she has proven her evil powers. Isekai and reincarnation stuff only happens in anime and Manhwas, but now that I've experienced it, I want to go back home to my bed, my phone and my unfinished ramen,"
In most isekai books, the characters are unable to return back to their worlds, but Rin hoped it would be different for him. He had been reincarnated as a side 'side' character that'll die soon.
"Hold on! If I get killed, would I go back home? Or would I die for real?" He grabbed his hair, with his jaw dropped to the ground. "Fuck! I hate this world already! I curse you, Mina!"
.
Rin's plan was to avoid the heroine, the male leads and the yandere Alphas sniffing around.
He'd keep his head down, avoid the main plot, and somehow, somehow figure out how to get back home.
Another message blinked faintly in the corner of the head as a floating pink box... Of course, it had to be pink...

"System?" he muttered.
But no voice replied to his question, there was no warning or anything. Just that pulsing glow on that pink box.
"Great. A half-dead system. Love that for me."
He finished dressing, shoved his feet into too-perfect leather shoes, and glanced back one last time.
Even if his scent was just like a normal fragrance to him... he could feel it pulsing just under his skin. It wasn't leaking yet. But he didn't know how long he could suppress it.
He needed scent blockers. Maybe suppressants. Anything that was mentioned in the book to stop his pheromones from leaking. He didn't know much about himself since he was killed between chapters one and five.
'I curse Mina again for killing poor Rin in the beginning,'
Rin grabbed the folded work badge off the nightstand and sighed. He looked at the foreign beauty in the mirror and ran his fingers across his face.
"It really wasn't any make-up," he muttered, turning away from the mirror.
"Alright. It's just a new world and a new job. Don't get horny, don't get stabbed and don't die. Good luck, Rin Elric,"
He squared his shoulders, reached for the door knob before opening the door.
Let the shitshow begin.
