(After winning a Volcano Badge from the Cinnabar Gym.)
(Mew and the others are in a drastic rush to the ferry that will leave Cinnabar Island to get back to the mainland.)
(They run as fast as they can because it's the last ferry off the island.)
(Misty calls out.)
Misty: "Wait! Don't leave without us!"
Mew: "Stop the boat!"
(Mew calls out.)
(The group hurries down the stairs and runs to the beach.)
(Mew continues to call out.)
Mew: "Hold on! We're coming! Hey! Hold that boat!"
Tomo: "Wait for us!"
(Tomo adds.)
(The group continues to run as fast as they can.)
(Suddenly, a Pokemon rushes in Mew's way and the girl bumps into it.)
(Soon after, Brock sets the Pokemon up so that it's spinning.)
(The Pokemon is a bipedal, indigo Pokémon similar to a turtle.)
(It has brown eyes, a dark blue streak on each cheek, and two sharp teeth protruding from its upper jaw.)
(It has three clawed fingers and pointed toes.)
(On each side of its head are feather-like ears covered in pale blue fur.)
(A brown shell with a pale yellow underside encases its body.)
(A thick, white rim separates the upper and lower halves of the shell.)
(Poking out of the bottom of the shell is a thick, wavy tail that also has light blue fur.)
Misty: "Are you okay?"
(Misty asks.)
(Mew sits up.)
Mew: "I'm okay, but what did I trip on?"
Brock: "Wow, a Wartortle. Talk about your rare Pokemon!"
(Brock says.)
(Mew turns to see the Turtle Pokemon who is very dizzy.)
Mew: "It is a Wartortle."
(Mew brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)
Dexter: "Wartortle, the Turtle Pokemon and the evolved form of Squirtle. A Water Type. It's long, furry tail is a symbol of its age and wisdom."
(Wartortle begins to talk in a panic.)
(However, Wartortle is talking so fast that it's hard to understand what Mew, Pikachu, Eevee, and Tomo are saying.)
Misty: "What's it saying?"
(Misty asks.)
Mew: "Not sure. Wartortle is talking so fast in a panic that it's hard to understand,"
(Mew says.)
(Pikachu taps on to one of Mew's Pokeball.)
Pikachu: "Pika Pika"! (Come out, Squirtle!)
(Then Squirtle comes out of his Pokeball.)
Wartortle: "Wartortle Wartortle Wartortle." (There's trouble going on at our island home.)
(Wartortle panics.)
Squirtle: "Squirtle?!" (What?!)
(Squirtle exclaims.)
Wartortle: "Wartortle Wartortle." (All of my friends are in trouble,)
(Wartortle adds.)
Squirtle: "Squirtle," (I see.)
(Squirtle says.)
Wartortle: "Wartortle Wartortle Wartortle," (I need you and your friends to come to the island.)
(Wartortle says.)
Squirtle: "Squirtle," (Understood.)
(Squirtle says.)
(He then takes out his old Squirtle Squad sunglasses.)
Mew: "Hey! It's a pair of Squirtle Squad sunglasses!"
(Mew says, surprised.)
Brock: "We haven't seen those in a while,"
(Brock says.)
Tomo: "Squirtle Squad sunglasses?"
(Tomo says, confused.)
Misty: "That's right, it happened before we met you, Tomo,"
(Misty says.)
(Squirtle then puts on his sunglasses and dives into the water with Wartortle.)
(Mew turns to her friends.)
Mew: "Wartortle said that his friends are in trouble on the island where she lives."
Brock: "If that's the case, there must be trouble,"
(Brock says.)
Mew: "Let's grab a boat and follow them!"
(Mew says.)
(Everyone agrees with the idea.)
(They have Staryu, Starmie, Goldeen, and Cloyster pulling the boat as they follow Squirtle and Wartortle.)
Tomo: "Still, they're sure in a hurry!"
(Tomo says.)
Pikachu: "Pikachu," (They sure are.)
(Pikachu says.)
(Just then, Brock says.)
Brock: "Hey, guys! Look! There's an island ahead!"
(The group looks ahead to see a tropical island up ahead.)
Mew: "It's so small,"
(Mew says.)
(Then Misty asks.)
Misty: "What island is it?"
Brock: "It's not even on this map,"
(Brock says.)
Mew: "Hey! It looks just like a Squirtle shell!"
(Mew says, noticing the island's shape.)
(Then calls out.)
Mew: "Full speed ahead!"
(With that, the Water Pokemon continue on their voyage to reach the island.)
(Unknown to them, Team Rocket is following them in their Gyarados submarine.)
(Jessie says through the periscope.)
Jessie: "It looks like those little twerps have stumbled onto something."
James: "Can't you look and peddle at the same time?"
(James says, peddling.)
Meowth: "Yeah, my paws need a pause!"
(Meowth complains.)
(Soon, Squirtle and Wartortle reach the shore with Mew and her friends behind them.)
(Pikachu calls out.)
Pikachu: "Pika!" (Squirtle!)
(Then Eevee.)
Eevee: "Eevee!" (Wartortle!)
Mew: "Wait for us!"
(Mew adds.)
(The group soon stop in their tracks and are surprised to see a lot of Squirtle and Wartortle duck into their shells.)
Mew: "Whoa, what's going on?"
(Mew asks, surprised.)
Brock: "They're all Squirtle and Wartortle!"
(Brock says.)
Misty: "Oh, I hope they're alright!"
(Misty says, concerned.)
(Brock puts his ear next to one of the shells and hears snoring sounds inside it.)
Brock: "It's okay, it's just sleeping,"
(Brock says.)
(Tomo looks at the others.)
Tomo: "So they're all asleep."
Mew: "I don't get it,"
(Mew replies.)
(Wartortle hurries to Mew and the others and points them.)
(to the largest shell in the area that is standing on a smooth, short, and wide rock pillar.)
Mew: "Wow. It's a Blastoise,"
(Mew says.)
Misty: "It's big,"
(Misty says.)
(Mew brings out her Dexter and it says.)
Dexter: "Blastoise, the Shellfish Pokemon, and the evolved form of Wartortle. A Water Type. Blastoise's strength lies in its power rather than its speed. Its shell is like armor, and attacks from the hydro cannons on its back are virtually unstoppable."
Brock: "It's either asleep or it's practicing its Withdraw move,"
(Brock says.)
(Mew walks to Blastoise and says.)
Mew: "Well, let's see."
(Mew then leans to the Blastoise shell and places her ear on it.)
(Suddenly, Mew becomes so tired that she falls asleep on it's back.)
Brock: "Uh, Mew?"
(Brock says, confused.)
Misty: "Mew, are you alright?"
(Misty asks, concerned.)
Pikachu: "Pika Pi!" (Mew!)
(Pikachu says, worried.)
Eevee: "Eevee!" (Mew!)
(Eevee says, concerned.)
Squirtle: "Squirtle!" (Mew!)
(Squirtle panics.)
(Squirtle then goes next to the shell, and it soon falls asleep.)
(Misty panics.)
Misty: "The same thing's happened to Squirtle, too!"
(Soon, they're both fast asleep.)
