CHAPTER 17
CHLOE'S POV
Keith and I arrived at school only to find the school premises packed with students.
They weren't swarming in and out. They looked like they were expecting something, more like someone.
"What do you think is going on?", I asked Keith.
"I have no clue", he replied getting down from the car.
I hope it's not a fight!!!!!!
I prayed before getting down from the car.
Keith locked the car and we started heading towards the school.
"And there they are, our newest couple", someone said from the crowd and I recognize the voice.
Hailey...
"What are you talking about?", I asked when she revealed herself fully in front of us.
"What do you mean by what am I talking about? No need to pretend, it's all over the school now", she sneered.
"And I ask again, what are you talking about?", I repeated with gritted teeth.
"Well, since you've decided to play dumb, I might as well, play along. I'm talking about this!!!!!", she showed Keith and I, a video of us kissing??!!!
" How'd you get that?", Keith asked with an unexpectedly calm face.
"I was passing by a mall, when I saw both of you, making out in a public area", she pointed her fingers at both of us.
"Well, it isn't what it looks like but I'm not gonna explain myself to you", I snapped.
"Yeah, but you're gonna have to explain yourselves to the rest of the school cos I posted the video online with a caption 'are they fuck buddies??', and it has gotten tobs of views and has arisen tons of questions"
"We're not gonna explain ourselves to anyone, besides we have classes to attend, right Keith?"
"Of course", he draped his hand over my shoulder and led me to our class.

The whole school has been buzzing with gossips of me and Keith being in a secret relationship.
Heck, people are even arguing that we're just flings and nothing more.
This whole thing is infuriating!!!!
I'm currently on my way to my locker when two girls stopped me and asked.
"Chloe, are you and Keith, like, dating?"
"No, we're just friends and besides that video of us kissing was actually because we were being chased by muggers", I explained.
I think this might be the 16th time today, someone has asked me this question.
"Oh, well, rumors say otherwise", the second girl said while the first one nudged her with her elbow.
"Anyways, can you tell us what kissing him felt like? I mean, Keith has been every girls dream guy and you kissed him so we'd like to know what it felt like", the first girl said eagerly.
"Don't you think it's a bit rude to pry into someone else's private matters?",I retorted and walked away, but I heard them calling me a bitch and a pick me girl.
I ignored them and went to my locker.
Be honest, am I really a pick me girl??!!!
I picked the stuff I was gonna use at home and walked to the parking lot.
"Chloe?", I turned around to see Hailey and her minions standing behind me.
"What?",I breathed out in frustration. She's already made my day bad enough as it is.
"I just wanted to applaud your effort", she snickered.
"What effort?", I twisted my face in confusion.
"Your effort in becoming Keith's fuck buddy. I mean, how did you seduce him cos he's never ever dated or touched any girl in school", she applauded while her minions laughed.
"You can't be serious right now. Let me make this clear to you and the dumbasses you call friends. Keith and I are not fuck buddies. I have more self-respect and dignity than you ever will", I hissed and walked towards Keith's car, waiting for him to come out.

" We really need to get this project done early", I scolded Keith for not paying attention to what I was saying.
"Ok, ok, I've heard you. We can start now", he got up from my bed and stood in front of me, we weren't that close but I could smell his minty breath.
" Ok, I need to take your measurements", I took my measuring tape.
" Ok"
" Take your shirt off ", I said with red cheeks as the thought of seeing Keith shirtless again crossed my mind.
" Do I have to?", he whined like a baby.
" Yes, you do?"
Liar!! No, he doesn't!!!
You just wanna see him shirtless!!!!!
My subconscious and I were actually fighting over who was right.
"Ok", he took off his shirt and leaned down to my level and whispered
"You like what you see?", he was teasing me.
My cheeks heated up and I was stuttered.
"Just let me do what I'm supposed to do", I started measuring but I used every slight chance to feel his abs and muscles.
I stared at the tattoo on his chest, where his heart is. It's a tattoo with two initials on it.

What does it mean?
I wondered but I didn't dare to ask.
I was almost finished with the measurements when I tripped and fell on his chest, and we both feel on my bed.
Just then, Jess barged into my room and I jumped off Keith.
"Chloe....?", she froze and continued
"I'm sorry"
" Haven't you heard of knocking?", I snapped at her.
" C'mon, she apologized", Keith said.
" It doesn't matter", I countered and turned to face Jess.
" What do you want?"
"I just wanted to apologize for what happened yesterday,.....and there's someone who wants to see you", she said looking really apologetic.
"Who wants to see me?",I questioned looking a little puzzled.
I'm not expecting any visitors today, neither Ami expecting Nolan to show up unannounced.
Even if he did, I'm not sure Jess would let him in, so who is my mystery visitor??!
" I'll be down in a few", I said, turning my attention back to Keith.
"This", I said and poked his chest.
"Isn't"

He just smirked and pushed me out of my room. I walked slowly down the stairs only to come face to face with him.
