CHAPTER 18
CHLOE'S POV
"Are you sure I'm the one you wanna see?",I said to Matt. I was also angry at him.
" Please sit", he motioned for me to sit on the couch directly opposite from him.
I obliged cos I've got no choice but to listen to their floppy excuses.
"What'd you guys wanna talk about?", I asked, acting like I didn't know why they requested to see me.
" We're sorry", he said.
" Here we go again", I mumbled to myself.
" We just needed time to ourselves and we totally forgot to inform you"
" And that's why I'm gonna totally forget that both of you are getting married", I said with a tone of finality.
" C'mon don't be like this", Matt said.
" I can't have a wedding if my sister isn't there", Jess concurred.
" I don't care", I spoke with my voice a little bit high.
" We're deeply sorry", Matt tried to convince me to forgive them.
" We promise you, it won't happen again", Jess added.
" Do you guys even know how I felt? I felt betrayed....no, I think the word I should have used is abandoned. That's right, I felt abandoned by the people I consider family. If it was just you, Matt, I would've understand but Jess? You, of all people? My blood sister?", I spoke with teary eyes.
" I'm not sure both of you understand", I added.
" That's why we're even more sorry", Matt got up from his seat and sat down beside me, placing his hand on my shoulder.
" To make up for what we did, we're inviting you and Keith for a pool party, just us, bonding", he grinned.
" Dude, you know I can't swim", I sniffled.
" You can learn, I'm sure Keith will be more than ready to teach you", he teased.
" It's not funny and I'm still mad"
" I thought you forgave me, peanut?", he fake pouted.
" You thought wrong"
" How about me?", Jess interrupted.
" I can't stay mad at you for long", I went to her and hugged her.
" Thanks"
" You're welcome"
" Hey, how about me?", Matt whined.
" I'm sorry, Matt but I have to attend to my project", I went upstairs and met Keith, fast asleep.
He looked cute and handsome.
I walked closer to him and lay down next to him, listening to his slow and steady breathing.
I got up and waved my hand in front of his face to check if he was awake but he didn't flinch so I did what my subconscious warned me not to do.
I kissed him!!!!
More like pecked his lips, but it was still a kiss.
I know it feels wrong cos he has someone but I just felt like doing it.
I hope he won't feel it....
I immediately got up and started with his outfit for the project.

It was now past 10 in the night and Keith was still asleep, I wonder what he's dreaming about cos he kept smiling occasionally.
"Keith... Keith.....", I called out, tapping him.
"Hmmm.....", he stirred and went back to sleep.
"Dude, c'mon, wake up!! It's past 10 and you need to go home", I shook him mildly.
"Just a few more minutes", he mumbled.
"Get up or...or...or I'm gonna kiss you, right here and right now", I threatened, feeling unsure about what I said.
"Go ahead, I don't mind, besides we've kissed before so it won't make any difference", he whispered, bringing his face close to mine.
"We can't", I managed to say after a while.
"Ok, then, I can go home now", he said and removed the bedcovers from his body, he was still shirtless.
"Dude!!!! Put on some clothes now, would you? Are you trying to seduce me?", I joked.
" Yes, I am. Is it working?", he started flexing his muscles in front of me.
" No", I blushed.
Liar!!!!

" What a shame? If my body doesn't seduce you, then I think you're gay", he teased with his infamous smirk.
" You wish", I laughed at him.
" Now, go home. I'm almost done with your outfit, just a few adjustments and measurements"
" Wow, so fast!", he exclaimed.
" I know right? It's my talent", I smirked.
"Good night, butterfly", Keith picked up his shirt and left through my window.
I couldn't wrap my head around what just happened right now.
Keith just called me butterfly and it gave me butterflies in my stomach.
I'm such a blushing mess!!!!!

"Chloe? Are you busy?", Jess came into my room.
"No, not really", I said. I was still working on Keith's outfit.
"Ok, well, I just wanted to ask you if you and Keith are dating", she said with her head low.
I'm guessing, she thinks I haven't fully forgiven her.
"No, we're not", I responded quickly.
"Oh! But do you like him?"
"Why are you asking?",I tried dodging her questions.
Truth is, I haven't really known yet.
"Well, first of all, I saw you on top of him, second, he's your only friend. It's as if you're both in love. And honestly, I think he's better than Nolan. I never liked that boy", she finished looking directly at my face, to see my expression.
My face was blank. Showing any emotion right now would give the wrong impression.
" Do you wanna know everything?",I need to tell someone.
"Yeah"
"We kissed", I said and she gasped.
"I knew it, she had that glow", she squealed.
"What glow?"
"Nevermind. When did you guys kiss?"
"Yesterday, when we went night jogging. We were being chased by muggers, so Keith thought of a plan and it worked"
"What was the plan?".
"PDA. We had to kiss in a crowded place as a form of disguise"
" Awwww!! I bet it was romantic!!", she squealed again.
" It was, I mean it wasn't like any kiss I had with Nolan", I admitted.
Jess just smiled at me, like a Cheshire cat.
" Why are you smiling like that?"
" Nothing. I'm just happy you're over Nolan"
" I got over him since forever", I said and we both laughed.
