My ears were still ringing from the tense conversation earlier when the front door suddenly scraped open. It wasn't knocked on. It wasn't pushed gently. It was shoved like someone had sprinted straight from the parking lot.
"Leo?!"
The voice was loud. Panicked. And unmistakable.
Sebastian.
I didn't even have time to process anything before Sebastian appeared at the doorway, panting hard like he'd been chased by a demon. He froze the second he saw what was in front of him, Leo with blood trailing down his temple, and me sitting right beside him.
Sebastian's expression collapsed. Absolutely shattered. A mix of anger, fear and shock.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!"
He didn't wait for an answer. In one long stride, he grabbed Leo's arm and yanked him away from me like I'd just painted Leo's kitchen walls with his blood.
"What the hell did you do to him?!"
