Chapter 39 - Deja Vu

I woke up earlier than usual, or maybe because last night my brain kept spinning without any results. The moment I stepped out of the room, the smell of coffee immediately attacked my nose.

And in the kitchen, of course, there was Leo.

He was standing in front of the coffee machine, hair still a bit messy, wearing a simple black shirt, sporting his usual emotionless expression. His hand lazily stirred a mug, as if it was some kind of sacred morning ritual.

Leo looked at me for a few seconds before finally speaking.

"Want coffee?"

Reflexively, I shook my head. "No need, I'll make it myself later."

Leo looked at me like I had just said something stupid.

"This coffee is better than yours."

"…Well yeah, the machine alone is different from the one at the office."

"That's just a skill issue."

He slid a mug toward me. "Drink."

His tone wasn't quite an order, but… yeah, it was an order.

I sighed. "Fine."

I took a sip. Okay, I hate admitting this… but it tasted really good.
