Not wanting to waste time, I turned around, sprinting toward the portal. My iron shovel was already equiped. But before I got close to it, a blurry figure appeared in front of the encased portal.
It was the fire-breathing man! Like before, he started weaving hand symbols in the blink of an eye. Already knowing what would happen, I raised my shield.
[xp level 21: enable Shield ? (consumes xp when used)]
The prompt reappeared, sensing my intention. This time, I didn't hesitate—quite the opposite.
"SHIELD!"
[The Shield function has been enabled.]
Before my widened eyes, tiny green orbs started gushing out from my chest, rushing toward the shield—which started to shimmer with blue light. If it had a purplish hue instead, I would've thought it was enchanted.
"火遁・豪火球の術! (Fireball Jutsu)"
I watched, my heart pounding as the fireball approached—
CHNK.
I was forced back, my arm feeling numb. But miraculously, the fireball vanished into of thin air, and my shield—MY SHIELD!
[Shield (durability): 290/337]
"Holy shit!" Looking at the durability drop, I held my shovel tighter. I need that bastard out of the way and get out, quick.
I need more shields—no, I need a plan! This dimension is... er, this world is worse than the Nether and The End combined! Does the Warden even deal this much damage??
As for the fire-breathing man... I rushed forward, seeing him wide-eyed. He shouldn't have expected the fireball to vanish—why would he? It was effective one moment ago.
Still, I equipped my sword, swinging it like a master. Like a master, cuz I only know how to swing with fake confidence. Technique? What's that?
It was a good call, the man had already recovered as I swung my sword. With a small, faintly glowing dagger (kunai), he tried blocking my sword. I've got to say, what gave him the confidence? My sword was much bigger.
I soon found out what. Our blade clashed, metals crying as they met, but the man barely skided back. My sword durability, however... sigh.
[Iron Sword (durability): 211/251]
Fighting uncertainty, a Minecraft player knows the best thing to do. Spam the attack button.
The iron sword weighed nothing in my hand, despite probably otherwise, seeing how the man grunted when he stopped it. And so, I swung my sword like a twig—
CLANG!
Then again.
CLANG!
Then again...
[Iron Sword (durability): 171/251]
[Iron Sword (durability): 131/251]
...
[Iron Sword (durability): 0/251]
The iron sword snapped in half, and I tossed it toward his face with barely a thought. Then, a new iron sword appeared in my grasp. The man, seeing the sword break, lunged forward, only to stagger when my new sword appeared.
Heh, fool. You stepped into my trap card! Not.
I couldn't even swing the sword once before he disappeared, replaced my an odd looking log. The shifting wind brushed against my hair, telling me to look back. Lo' and behold, he was there, brows furrowed, chest heaving slightly.
I smirked, equipping my shovel. He didn't react—and tilting slightly sideways, I dug one dirt block open. The moment a hole was made, I jumped in, headfirst, a bucket in hand.

The strange samurai vanished, his body sucked into a strange, purplish sheet that spun in circles.
'Spacetime ninjutsu?' Arata furrowed his brows, flickering out of view—only to reappear in front of the covered up portal.
Reaching out his hand, the sound of a glass mirror suddenly reached his ears. Before he could blink, the portal shattered like porcelain, sizzling as the shards evaporated like purple snowflakes. At the bottom of the obsidian frame, a puddle of water remained.
At the same time, eight figures appeared behind Arata.
"Earth Style: Earth Shifting Jutsu!"
The dirt casing of the portal frame trembled, falling downward.
"What's this? A forbidden jutsu?" One of them asked, eyebrows raised, scanning the obsidian frame.
"It involves a spacetime jutsu. Maybe... it's connected to a summoning land," Arata muttered, unsure.
"Pfft, please. Do you think those are common?" Someone scoffed.
"Whatever it is," finally, the tallest of them spoke. "I want this thing to be studied. Madara-sama needs to know about this."
