What do I need?
Food is an obvious choice, I need it to regenerate my health. However, it won't help if I take too much damage. My tools also need an upgrade, maybe enchanted too.
A good bow would also help, but how do I stop them from teleporting?
Seeing the man blink in and out of existence back then, I couldn't help but feel helpless. How do you combat that? I don't think traps would work... ah, well, if I can't touch them, they can't touch me too.
I'll make sure of it.
I walked toward a double chest, opening it and taking out a certain pearl.
As for the portal, I've already disabled it with a water bucket. I stayed and watched for a while, and no one from the other side ignited it. I hope it stays like that.
Speaking of that world... Men breathing fireballs? Hand seals? I could only think of one popular series back on Earth.
Naruto.
If I'm not wrong, that man was an Uchiha judging from his eyes. But...
"I thought the Uchiha were dead?" I muttered, walking out of the house after dumping my damaged armor set to a chest.
During my time on Earth, I didn't focus much on Naruto. Rather, I watched more slice of life and romance... you look for something you don't have, but want, after all. That being said, I watched most of the anime, but I don't remember all its plot. Shippuden finished way back in 2017.
In the show, the Sharingan can copy jutsu and give perception advantages... I don't really know how to counter it. If you shoot them with a bow and arrow, they'd give you enderman treatment. Well, maybe all the decent ninja in that world would.
What was it again? Substitution Jutsu?
Then that Fireball Jutsu. My shield can take a beating, so I need more of those. My armor helps too, I'd instantly die without it. Should I get diamond armor? Oh, and make potions too...
Wait.
I can still go to the Nether, right?
Thinking of the system prompt back then, I felt a bit uneasy. If I couldn't go to the Nether, potions will be impossible to get.
Rushing back to the mines with fourteen empty buckets, I searched for a new lava pool. Luckily, such things weren't too rare, and I found myself back at the surface before the next day.
"Maybe I should build this somewhere else..." Looking at the unlit portal next to me, I scratched my head. In the end, I ran to a nearby forest.
"Foo," I patted my chest, feeling my heart pounding. "Here we go!"
With a flint and steel in hand, I took one last look at the portal frame.
