I take Jeremy to the club where I came in last time. The club for supernatural creatures, which is named Mazzimos which is the last name of the man who made this club back in 1929.
"Oh, we have these kinds of clubs in New York, too," Jeremy says as we get down from the truck.
"Of course there is," I say dryly. Yes, I get it, New York is the best city in the country, but can he calm down? New Orleans is great, too. So help me God, if we walk into this building and he tells me that the clubs in New York are better than this club, I will punch him in the face.
We walk across the street and we stand in front of the bouncer.
"Hey, remember me?"
"Yeah, the special nytheri who hangs out with Veyraths," he looks at Jeremy. "Hanging out with one right now, I see."
"Yep, and get this, he's my boyfriend." I wink, and the bouncer raises his brows in surprise.
