Morgan's eyes narrowed at Leticia's defiance, her patience wearing thin.
"I said, share with your sister," she repeated, her voice low and dangerous.
Leticia met Morgan's gaze steadily, her own eyes cold and unyielding. She had no intention of sharing her precious gifts from Leonardo with Amelia.
"I don't want to," she said simply, turning away from Morgan and Amelia.
As she walked towards the stairs, she heard Amelia's huff of indignation behind her.
"Mother, make her give me some!" the girl whined.
Morgan sighed heavily.
"Amelia, let it go. Leticia is just being difficult."
Leticia paused on the stairs, a bitter smile twisting her lips. Difficult? If only they knew the half of it. She continued up to her room, closing the door firmly behind her.
Once inside, she opened the boxes reverently, running her fingers over the smooth silk gloves and colorful candies. Each one was a reminder of Leonardo's thoughtfulness and affection.
As Leticia sat on her bed, lost in thought, a soft knock sounded at her door. She looked up, expecting to see Luna or perhaps Morgan come to scold her further. Instead, she was surprised to find Amelia standing there, her expression unreadable.
"What do you want?" Leticia asked coolly, not bothering to hide her annoyance.
Amelia stepped into the room, closing the door behind her. She walked over to the bed, her eyes fixed on the boxes of candies and gloves.
"I want some of those," she said, reaching out to grab one of the boxes.
Leticia snatched it away before Amelia could touch it, holding it protectively against her chest.
"No," Leticia said. Amelia raised her hand to slap Leticia who kicked her.
"Amelia you can have anything but those things I treasure most no one can take it from me," Leticia said. Amelia clenched her jaw and she stood up and burst into tears.
"Mom! Dad! Older brother! Sister! Leticia won't share and she kicked me!" Amelia said as she cried. Leticia clenched her jaw this bitch.
The sound of hurried footsteps echoed down the hallway, and soon Morgan and Lily burst into the room, their faces etched with concern. They took in the scene before them Amelia crying dramatically on the floor, Leticia sitting on the bed with her precious boxes clutched tightly to her chest.
"What's going on here?" Morgan demanded, her gaze sharp and accusatory.
Amelia looked up at her mother, tears streaming down her face.
"Leticia kicked me and won't share her things!" she wailed.
Morgan's eyes flashed with anger as she turned to Leticia.
"How dare you lay a hand on your sister!" she snapped.
"Give her what she wants immediately."
Leticia remained unmoved by Morgan's outburst, her expression cold and unyielding. She stood up slowly, facing Morgan and Lily with a calm that belied the storm raging inside her.
"No," she said simply.
"Guards! Go get make kneel outside!" Morgan snapped:
"And no one helps her!" Jason said. Lily moved forward and took the box candies.
"Here Amelia."
"Hand that over!" Leticia shouted.
"Guards what are you waiting for!?" Quinn snapped. Amelia looked so smug ever since she came she gets whatever she wants her favorite thing to do is take anything that Leticia likes.
The guards entered the room, their expressions stern and unyielding. They grabbed Leticia's arms roughly, forcing her to her knees on the hardwood floor. Leticia grit her teeth, refusing to cry out or beg for mercy. She kept her eyes fixed on Amelia, who was greedily stuffing candy into her mouth, a triumphant smirk on her face.
Morgan watched the scene unfold with satisfaction, her arms crossed over her chest.
"That's what happens when you defy me," she said coldly.
"Now, maybe you'll learn your place."
Lily stood back, looking uncomfortable but saying nothing to intervene. Amelia giggled as she ate more of Leticia's precious candies, clearly enjoying her sister's punishment.
"Mommy," she said between bites.
"Can I have those gloves too?"
Leticia's eyes flashed with fury as she watched Amelia stuff her face with the candies she had cherished. The sight of her sister's smug expression and the sound of her giggles only fueled the rage burning inside her.
"Those gloves are mine," Leticia growled, her voice low and dangerous.
Morgan's smile turned cruel as she picked up the box containing the silk gloves.
"And now they're Amelia's," she said, handing them to her daughter.
Amelia snatched the gloves eagerly, pulling them on with a delighted laugh. She struck a pose, admiring how they looked on her hands.
"They're perfect," she cooed.
"I'm going to wear them all the time."
Leticia clenched her fists, feeling the bite of nails against her palms. When they left Amelia smiled.
"Sister I like your gift."
Leticia stood up ever so slowly.
"Amelia, whatever," Leticia said.
The next day
Morgan was sitting on a chair as she thought to herself. These dresses are the most expensive dresses and her daughter should have the best of everything. And yet this child doesn't seem to fit in any of the dresses the problem doesn't lie with the dresses it lays with how awkward she is. Amelia tries on many dresses and no matter what she looks beautiful. Even though she is Princeton they is a use difference between the two but if Amelia was raised by them she would have been better.
The store open Leticia was wearing a ripped jeans and a crop top as she chewed her bubble gum. This morning she woke up and saw a gift at the her window and she knew it was from Leonardo it was much more pleasant than the one that he gifted her before but this time she hide the candies.
"Lady Delfina is inside waiting for you," a servant said. Leticia smiled how wonderful is that. Morgan saw Leticia and she sighed.
"Have you settled the matter?"
"I have," Leticia said indifferently as she stepped forward.
"Leticia! Come here!" Delfina and Taylor both yelled in unison.
"Come quick I ordered your favorite tea since I heard you would be coming," Delfina said.
"And your favorite pastry," Taylor said.
"Ahh what are you two doing here?" Leticia asked.
"Well Delfina mother is forcing her to buy more dresses she gain a little weight," Taylor said. Delfina leaned on Leticia shoulder.
"Oh Delfina I see you have a new maid," Leticia said.
"Ah yes my mother saw hitting the other maid because she touched by things so she fired her and well oh well she was gone," Delfina said. Delfina, and Taylor what would you guys do if one day they find out she is not noble bloodline? Delfina who doesn't even care for a simple maid would she even care for her best friend who is common? Would Taylor who doesn't spare a glance at normal people would she even care? Leticia took a deep breath one must be calm.
"Leticia that's your sister?"
"Indeed."
"Mmm I see you guys are so different you are extremely beautiful and talented while she looks so arrogant," Delfina said coldly.
"She and I are nothing alike."
"Leticia," Morgan said. Leticia stood up and walked over.
"I have never seen you wear gloves before," Morgan said. The gloves was thin yet white silk.
